A plot leak reported by BGR says Steve Rogers’s decision to return to the past and live with Peggy Carter may connect Avengers: Endgame to the conflict in Avengers: Doomsday. The claim is that Steve’s choice created incursions—and that Doctor Doom wants him dead. It remains an unconfirmed rumor, not a Marvel-released plot detail.
What the reported leak claims
In a report published August 17, 2025, BGR attributed the Steve Rogers claim to leaker MyTimeToShineHello, relayed through a post by Marvel Updates. As BGR summarized it, “When Steve Rogers went back in time to live with Peggy Carter, he reportedly created the incursions.” The same report says Doom reportedly wants Steve dead in Avengers: Doomsday.
That is second-hand reporting of a leak, not an official synopsis or confirmation. The claim’s dramatic link is causal: Steve’s life with Peggy allegedly helped trigger the multiverse danger Doom is trying to stop. BGR’s report itself cautions that it is too early to confirm the details. BGR’s report
How it would connect to Endgame
Avengers: Endgame ends with Steve returning to the past and choosing a life with Peggy Carter. The rumor reframes that personal ending as a possible cause of a later multiverse crisis: if Steve’s time-travel choice created incursions, Doom could see him as responsible for a threat to reality.

That is a continuity interpretation offered by the leak, not an explanation established by Marvel. The official Marvel page for Avengers: Endgame describes the surviving Avengers making a final stand after Thanos’s actions wiped out half the universe and fractured the team. It confirms the earlier film’s premise, but says nothing about Steve causing incursions or Doom targeting him in a future film.
What else BGR attributed to an insider
BGR also relayed a separate Cosmic Circus Q&A attributed to insider Alex Perez. In that account, Doom considers incursions a danger to the multiverse and plans to stop them with the help of a young Franklin Richards. Perez was quoted as portraying Doom as someone who sees himself as the hero. BGR further reported Perez said Chris Evans and Hayley Atwell would appear in the film.

No confirmation appears in the cited materials. BGR reported the leak on August 17, 2025, while Marvel’s cited Endgame pages establish information about that earlier film—not the alleged Doomsday plot. Until Marvel confirms the connection, Steve’s role, or Doom’s motive in official film materials, treat the story as unverified.
