The most accurate answer is: apparently dead, fate unresolved.
How Vander becomes Warwick
In Arcane, Warwick is not simply another character who resembles Vander: Singed brings Vander back and transforms him into the creature. Netflix’s behind-the-scenes feature on Arcane Season 2 says the creative team kept Warwick’s traits and facial features close to Vander’s to connect the transformed figure to the person he was.

What happens to Warwick in the finale
After the battle, Warwick attacks Vi. Jinx intervenes, and Warwick falls from an unstable structure; an explosion follows. The sequence is presented in the finale recap as a seemingly fatal fall and explosion. That makes it reasonable to read the scene as his death, but the sequence does not, by itself, establish an explicit canonical confirmation.
Does the ending confirm that he is dead?
No definitive confirmation is established by the cited sources. The scene supports an apparently fatal outcome, but it leaves room for uncertainty rather than plainly settling Warwick’s fate.

In a November 27, 2024 interview with Teen Vogue, co-creator Christian Linke said the finale was meant to invite viewers to consider its different sides. He described the story’s world as messy, saying, “Life isn’t always so perfectly buttoned up. War is messy. Fighting is messy.” That is commentary on the finale’s ambiguity, not a Warwick-specific statement that he survives or dies. Linke’s comments therefore should not be treated as confirmation of either outcome.

The ending leaves room for viewers to speculate about Warwick’s fate, but possibilities such as regeneration, escape, or a later appearance remain theories unless an official source confirms them. The status of Warwick in the game lore does not, by itself, settle what happens to this version of the character in Arcane.

Netflix describes Season 2 as Arcane’s second and final season. Linke has said that Arcane’s story wraps up with that season, while the broader Runeterra storytelling journey continues; neither point confirms Warwick will return. Netflix’s Season 2 guide provides that wider framing, not an answer to Warwick’s fate.
