Spoilers for Arcane season 2, episode 3, “Finally Got the Name Right.” Yes—the episode points to Warwick, and Netflix’s official making-of feature confirms the identity behind the reveal: Singed brings Vander back and transforms him into Warwick. The creature’s human features are deliberate, keeping him recognizably connected to the man Vi and Jinx knew.
What happens at the end of episode 3?
“Finally Got the Name Right,” the third episode of Arcane season 2, brings Vi and Jinx’s conflict to a ruined undercity temple dedicated to Janna. Netflix’s account says Jinx sets a trap for Vi there, amid paintings that depict important moments in Jinx’s life. The setting makes their confrontation feel bound up with their shared past: Vi believes the Powder she knew is gone and is trying to fix what she sees as a problem she helped create.
The episode’s closing reveal points toward a second return from the past. The visual suggests a monstrous, wolf-like figure; Netflix’s production feature supplies the decisive identification, connecting that figure to Warwick and to Vander.
Is Warwick really Vander?
Yes. Netflix’s official season two making-of feature says Singed brings Vander back and turns him into “the feral, bloodthirsty beast known as Warwick.” It also says the showrunner had the idea early that Vander would become Warwick. The identity is therefore more than a viewer theory based on a brief resemblance: the production account explicitly confirms the connection.

Why does Warwick still look like Vander?
Arcane’s Warwick is designed to register as both a transformed creature and someone with a human past. Production designer Arnaud-Loris Baudry describes the design as “a combination of wild beasts and Vander’s human characteristics.” He says the team kept Warwick’s traits and facial features close to Vander’s for the story.
That approach differs from a straightforward adaptation of Warwick’s game appearance, which Baudry describes as more like a werewolf. Arcane brings in wild-animal elements to evoke Warwick’s wolf aspect while retaining features that link him to Vander. Netflix’s account also notes that Vander’s resilience and resistance to suffering were part of how the story explains his role in Singed’s experiment.

How the ending connects the sisters’ story to Warwick
The temple sequence and Warwick reveal put two forms of the past in the same episode. Jinx’s trap forces Vi to confront the person Powder has become, while the reveal points toward Vander returning in a radically altered form. One reading is that the ending extends the sisters’ painful question—what remains of someone you once knew?—into the show’s body-horror story. That is a thematic interpretation, rather than a stated explanation from the production team.
Arcane is based on League of Legends, but the series makes its own choices in adapting game characters and their stories. Netflix’s season guide identifies the series’ League of Legends connection; the making-of feature explains the specific Vander-derived choices behind this version of Warwick. The show’s design should be understood on its own terms, rather than treated as a one-to-one copy of every game detail.
