Current status: This was a genuine Black Friday 2025 promotion for Apple’s streaming service, but it is no longer active. The offer ended on December 1, 2025, so it should not be treated as a deal available today.
Despite the shorthand “Apple TV,” the promotion was for the Apple TV+ streaming subscription—not an Apple TV 4K streaming device.
What the Black Friday deal included
Apple reportedly offered six months of its streaming service for $5.99 per month, compared with the reported regular U.S. price of $12.99 per month. Over six months, that worked out to $35.94 before tax, or approximately $42 in savings.
Coverage from Macworld and Engadget reported that the promotion ran from November 21 through December 1, 2025. It was a temporary subscription discount, not a permanent $6 monthly rate.

What subscribers received
The deal provided access to Apple’s on-demand streaming catalog, including Apple originals such as Severance, Slow Horses, Ted Lasso, Silo, For All Mankind, Foundation, The Morning Show and The Studio. Films highlighted in the original coverage included CODA, Killers of the Flower Moon and Tetris.
It did not include an Apple TV 4K box, Apple Music, Apple Arcade, iCloud+ or an Apple One bundle. Separately sold third-party channels and content inside the Apple TV app were not automatically included either.

Who qualified?
The reported eligibility was limited to new and eligible returning subscribers. Engadget described returning-customer eligibility as applying to people who had not maintained an active subscription during the previous 30 days, but that should not be treated as a universal Apple rule.
Eligibility could depend on the Apple account, country, billing platform, previous trial, bundle, carrier benefit or other promotional history. A former subscriber was not guaranteed access. During the promotion, the offer had to be checked after signing in to the intended account.

Apple subscription versus Amazon Prime Video channel
A similar promotion was also reported through Amazon Prime Video. However, that was an Apple TV channel subscription billed and viewed through Amazon, not simply the same Apple-billed plan in a different app.

Subscriptions purchased through Apple and Amazon were separate. Canceling one did not necessarily cancel the other; billing had to be managed through the company that charged the account. The relevant destinations were Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video.

What happened after six months?
Unless canceled, the discounted subscription reportedly renewed at the regular regional monthly price. Macworld cited $12.99 per month in the U.S., while Engadget rounded the figure to about $13.
Anyone who accepted the original offer should have checked the renewal date and displayed price in the account used for signup. A calendar reminder set immediately after enrollment was the simplest way to avoid an unwanted full-price charge. The promotional total and savings also excluded applicable tax.

- Viewers with several Apple originals on a planned six-month watchlist.
- New subscribers able to start watching during the promotional period.
- Eligible returning customers without an active subscription.
- Apple households that wanted direct Apple billing and Family Sharing.
- Anyone willing to cancel before the standard-price renewal.
Who should have skipped it?
- Existing subscribers who were not eligible for the promotion.
- People interested in only one title and unlikely to watch regularly for six months.
- Households already receiving Apple TV through a carrier, employer, device purchase or bundle.
- Viewers seeking a broad live-TV replacement rather than an on-demand originals catalog.
- People outside the U.S. who assumed the dollar price and eligibility rules applied in their market.
If the offer did not appear
A missing promotional banner could have indicated an active subscription, a recent trial or promotion, account-specific ineligibility, regional restrictions, third-party billing or simply an expired offer. The correct process was to sign in to the intended account, review the offer page and confirm both the promotional term and renewal price before accepting.

Is the deal still available?
No. The six-month, $5.99-per-month Black Friday promotion expired on December 1, 2025. As of September 14, 2026, readers should check Apple’s official TV service page for any replacement promotion rather than relying on this archived offer. Readers considering a broader bundle can review Apple One, but its value depends on whether they also use services such as Apple Music, Apple Arcade or iCloud+.
