It premiered on Dec. 10, 2025, and Disney said its finale arrived Jan. 21, 2026, with all episodes then available to binge on Disney+ and Hulu. Here’s what the season adapted, who appeared, how it was released and what Disney has announced next.
What season two is about
The second season adapts Rick Riordan’s novel The Sea of Monsters, the second book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Disney’s official synopsis sets the story in motion when the protective border around Camp Half-Blood is breached and Grover goes missing. Percy, Annabeth and Clarisse set out across the Sea of Monsters to find Grover and the Golden Fleece, while Percy discovers that Tyson is his cyclops half-brother. Luke and Kronos pose a growing threat to the camp and Olympus.
That is the season’s stated adaptation and central setup; it does not mean every scene or detail follows the novel exactly. Riordan’s official book page for The Sea of Monsters describes the failing camp borders, the quest for a magical item and the effort to rescue Grover.
When season two premiered and how it was released
Rick Riordan announced the premiere date at San Diego Comic-Con on July 24, 2025: Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2025, on Disney+. Disney later specified a two-episode debut on Dec. 10, followed by new episodes every Wednesday on Disney+ and Hulu. The finale arrived Jan. 21, 2026. Disney said all season-two episodes were available on both services from that date.
