The Game Awards announced its 2024 nominees on November 18, 2024. ASTRO BOT and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth led the field with seven nominations each, including Game of the Year. Below is the category-by-category nominee list reported in the announcement coverage; Players’ Voice is noted separately because its later fan-vote ballot is not reproduced here. Gematsu’s announcement says nominees were selected by a global jury of more than 130 media publications and influencer outlets, with a specialist jury for Innovation in Accessibility.
The ceremony was scheduled for December 12, 2024, at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. The official 2024 rewind records ASTRO BOT as Game of the Year and lists the winners across categories.

Who won at The Game Awards 2024?
ASTRO BOT won Game of the Year. The official 2024 rewind also records Balatro as the winner of Best Independent Game, Best Debut Indie Game and Best Mobile Game; Metaphor: ReFantazio won Best Narrative and Best Art Direction; and Black Myth: Wukong won Players’ Voice. The rewind lists winners for the other categories as well.
