Why is Jack called a “miracle” baby?
The phrase comes from two distinct kinds of reporting, neither of which establishes a medical meaning. In a 2025 Vogue interview, Hailey described the experience of growing new life as feeling like a miracle every day. That is her personal reflection on pregnancy and parenthood.
Separately, a People report syndicated by Yahoo in August 2024 attributed “wished and prayed for” and “such a miracle” to an unnamed source. Those words were not presented as a direct statement from Justin or Hailey. The sources do not establish that “miracle baby” refers to a fertility diagnosis, a medical complication, or any specific medical history.

In her 2025 Vogue interview, Hailey said the pregnancy was a surprise and that she had mixed emotions while adjusting to the prospect of parenthood. She also described beginning to leak amniotic fluid at 39 weeks, being induced, and laboring for 18 hours. After the birth, she said she experienced significant bleeding and received postpartum treatment. These details came in the later interview, not in Justin’s birth announcement.

ABC News reported that Jack’s initials continue the family’s JB pattern and that Jack is also the middle name of Justin’s father, Jeremy. This is a reported family connection; ABC News did not establish it as a directly confirmed explanation of the parents’ naming intentions.
