Alexia Nepola’s first public response to Todd Nepola’s divorce filing was that she was “shocked and heartbroken.” She posted that reaction in April 2024, after the filing was reported that month. On The Real Housewives of Miami in 2025, she described learning that Todd had moved out and said she felt blindsided. The divorce was finalized in March 2025, but the two continued to see one another; Alexia’s latest reported update, on September 13, 2026, was that they were “Very happy.”

What Alexia said when Todd filed for divorce

On April 15, 2024, Alexia posted on Instagram that she was “shocked and heartbroken that Todd has chosen to dissolve our marriage,” according to Bravo’s report. She said she would lean on friends and family for comfort.

The filing had been reported four days earlier. E! News reported that Todd filed in Miami-Dade courts on April 11, 2024, citing the marriage as “irretrievably broken.” The underlying court record was not independently verified in the reviewed coverage, so the filing details are attributed to E!’s report.

How Alexia later described learning about the filing

On June 11, 2025, Bravo recapped Alexia’s account on Season 7 of The Real Housewives of Miami. She said she returned home to find belongings missing, learned Todd had moved out, and later got a call from her attorney telling her he had filed for divorce. These are Alexia’s recollections, not an independently established account of what happened privately.

Asked whether the divorce had been discussed beforehand, she said, “No, never. There was no fight. There was no nothing.” She added that she felt “so betrayed” and “blindsided.” Bravo’s account of the episode presents her perspective; it does not establish Todd’s private reasons for filing.

Why did Todd file for divorce?

The only reason stated in the filing as reported by E! was that the marriage was “irretrievably broken.” That phrase does not explain Todd’s personal thinking, and the reviewed coverage does not independently establish his private reasoning. Alexia’s description of feeling blindsided explains how she experienced the news, but it should not be treated as proof of Todd’s motive.

When the divorce ended—and why the relationship did not

Bravo reported in March 2025 that the divorce was finalized that month, following a marital settlement agreement dated March 17. In a statement to PEOPLE reproduced by Bravo, Alexia said, “While our marriage has legally ended, our relationship has not.” The legal end of the marriage and the couple’s personal relationship were therefore separate matters in her public account. Bravo’s report on the settlement and divorce describes that timeline.

How Alexia and Todd described their relationship afterward

Their reported status changed over time, so dated statements are more useful than a single undated label:

  • July 27, 2025: Alexia said she and Todd were not speaking and that she needed peace, distance, and clarity. Bravo reported her comments.
  • September 25, 2025: Alexia said they had continued seeing one another after the settlement, but were taking a break while that season of RHOM aired because revisiting the events was difficult. Bravo’s report recounts that explanation.
  • September 13, 2026: On Watch What Happens Live, Alexia reportedly described them as “Very happy,” adding, “Things are so much better. We’re in a great place, and you know, love wins. We figured it out.” This is the latest relationship update located, not a guarantee that their circumstances will remain unchanged. Just Jared reported the appearance and quotes.

The Real Housewives of Miami is available on Peacock according to Bravo’s viewing guidance.
