Adam the Woo, the YouTube name of David Adam Williams, was found dead at his home in Celebration, Florida, on December 22, 2025. He was 51. The cause was still pending in the first reports; later reporting on January 27, 2026, said the medical examiner identified atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease, with obesity contributing, and classified the death as natural.
What happened
Williams was last seen on Sunday, December 21, 2025, according to the Los Angeles Times report published December 23. His latest Daily Woo video, showing Christmas decorations and community festivities, had been posted that day.
A friend went to Williams’s home and looked through a third-story window, where they saw a man motionless on a bed. Deputies returned to the residence and entered with Fire Rescue. The sheriff’s spokesperson told the Times: “Upon entering the residence with Fire Rescue, the male was reported deceased.” The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office confirmed Williams’s death. At the time, the investigation was ongoing and the cause awaited an autopsy.
What was Adam the Woo’s cause of death?
The first December 23 report said the cause was pending. On January 27, 2026, the Los Angeles Times reported that Williams’s father had received the medical examiner’s findings: atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease, with obesity as a contributory factor. In a separate report that day, WFTV reproduced the medical examiner’s cause and manner wording, reporting the manner of death as natural.

The medical examiner’s report sentence reproduced by WFTV reads: “In consideration of the circumstances surrounding the death and after examination of the body, toxicology analysis and review of available investigative information, it is my opinion that the death of David Williams, a 51-year-old male, is the result of atherosclerotic and hypertensive cardiovascular disease with obesity contributing. The manner of death is natural.” The underlying report is described here through those published accounts; it was not independently obtained.
Williams’s father, Jim Williams, described the death in plain language to the Times as occurring “in essence, of a heart attack in his sleep from health issues he probably never knew he had.” That is his characterization, distinct from the formal cause stated in the medical examiner’s findings.
