Yes—several members of Adam Sandler’s real-life family appear in Happy Gilmore 2. His wife, Jackie Sandler, plays Vienna Gilmore’s dance instructor, Monica. His younger daughter, Sunny Sandler, plays Happy’s daughter, Vienna Gilmore, while his older daughter, Sadie Sandler, plays a support-group attendee named Charlotte. Sandler’s mother, Judith “Judy” Sandler, also appears briefly as Drago Larson’s mother.
Spoiler warning: The roles below include story details about Vienna’s ballet ambitions, Happy’s support-group subplot, and the Larson family’s connection to the tournament.

Jackie Sandler plays Monica, Vienna’s dance instructor
Jackie Sandler, Adam Sandler’s wife, plays Monica, the dance instructor working with Vienna. Monica has a small role, but it is important to the sequel’s central family storyline.

She tells Happy that Vienna needs a better teacher or a more advanced opportunity if she wants to pursue ballet seriously. That conversation helps Happy understand that Vienna’s ambitions require more than encouragement: she needs the opportunity to attend a prestigious ballet program in Paris. Happy’s attempt to raise the necessary money becomes the main reason he tries to make a golf comeback.
Some coverage describes Monica generally as Vienna’s ballet teacher, and some uses the spelling “Monika.” The fuller cast listing gives the character’s name as Monica, which is the spelling used here.
Sunny Sandler plays Vienna Gilmore, Happy’s daughter
Sunny Sandler, Adam and Jackie Sandler’s younger daughter, plays Vienna Gilmore. Vienna is Happy Gilmore and Virginia Venit’s only daughter and an aspiring ballerina.
Vienna is the emotional center of Happy’s family story. Happy wants to earn enough money to send her to ballet school in Paris, giving his return to competitive golf a personal purpose beyond the sport itself. The relationship between Happy and Vienna supplies the film’s main parent-child arc.

It is important not to confuse Sunny’s real-life relationship with her fictional one. Sunny is Adam Sandler’s daughter in real life, and she plays his daughter in the movie—but the character is Vienna Gilmore, not a version of herself.
Sadie Sandler plays Charlotte—not one of Happy’s children
Sadie Sandler, Adam and Jackie Sandler’s older daughter, appears as Charlotte. Charlotte is connected to Happy’s Alcoholics Anonymous and support-group storyline rather than to the Gilmore household.
Charlotte connects with Happy during the group scenes. Later, her situation becomes part of Happy’s confrontation with Hal L., the abusive or exploitative figure presenting himself as a therapist or group leader.
Sadie’s role is therefore a supporting cameo with a specific story function. She does not play one of Happy and Virginia’s children. The Gilmore children are Vienna and the four sons played by Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Philip Schneider, Ethan Cutkosky, and Conor Sherry.

Judith “Judy” Sandler plays Drago Larson’s mother
Judith Sandler, often called Judy Sandler, is Adam Sandler’s mother. In Happy Gilmore 2, she is credited as Drago’s Mom; the character is also described as Drago Larson’s mother or Mrs. Larson.
Drago Larson is played by basketball player Boban Marjanović. His family is connected to Mr. Larson, Happy’s former construction boss from the original Happy Gilmore. Judy Sandler’s appearance takes place in the tournament-related material and is a brief cameo rather than a substantial speaking role.
Other Sandler-family and extended-family cameos
The family connection extends beyond Adam Sandler’s immediate household. These appearances are much smaller than Jackie, Sunny, Sadie, and Judy’s roles:
- Christopher Titone plays a Repo Man. Titone is Jackie Sandler’s brother and Adam Sandler’s brother-in-law.
- Lila Titone appears as Lila. She is Jackie Sandler’s mother and Adam Sandler’s mother-in-law.
- Jana Sandler is reported to appear as a Jeopardy! contestant. She is identified in secondary cast coverage as Adam Sandler’s cousin. This is an extended-family cameo, not a principal role.
Because these entries are brief, they are best understood as additional family cameos rather than major character performances.

Real Sandler family versus the fictional Gilmore family
The film can be confusing because some real-life family members play characters connected to Happy, while others appear in entirely separate storylines.
Adam Sandler’s real-life family in the cast
- Jackie Sandler — Adam’s wife; plays Monica.
- Sunny Sandler — Adam’s younger daughter; plays Vienna Gilmore.
- Sadie Sandler — Adam’s older daughter; plays Charlotte.
- Judith “Judy” Sandler — Adam’s mother; plays Drago’s Mom.
- Christopher Titone — Jackie’s brother; plays the Repo Man.
- Lila Titone — Jackie’s mother; appears as Lila.
- Jana Sandler — reported to be Adam’s cousin; appears as a Jeopardy! contestant.
The fictional Gilmore family
- Happy Gilmore — played by Adam Sandler.
- Virginia Venit — played by Julie Bowen. She remains Virginia; Jackie Sandler does not play Happy’s wife.
- Vienna Gilmore — played by Sunny Sandler.
- Gordie, Bobby, Wayne, and Terry — Happy and Virginia’s four sons, played by Maxwell Jacob Friedman, Philip Schneider, Ethan Cutkosky, and Conor Sherry.
The clearest family casting match is Sunny as Vienna. Jackie’s role is linked to Vienna’s ballet plot but is not Virginia, while Sadie’s Charlotte belongs to the support-group storyline rather than the Gilmore family.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why the family casting matters to the story
Happy Gilmore 2 uses the Sandler family appearances in different ways. Sunny’s casting directly supports the movie’s emotional core because Vienna is the child Happy is trying to help. Jackie’s Monica provides the information that turns Vienna’s ballet ambitions into a practical challenge. Sadie’s Charlotte belongs to a separate subplot that tests Happy’s willingness to stand up for someone vulnerable. Judy’s cameo, meanwhile, connects the sequel’s tournament material to the Larson-related world established by the original film.
That division is why it is misleading to describe every Sandler relative as playing a member of Happy’s family. Only Sunny plays one of the Gilmore children. The other relatives are teachers, support-group participants, tournament-connected characters, or brief cameo figures.
