El Hijo del Vikingo’s four-way title defense tops this ranking of the six matches at AAA TripleManía XXXIII, but the show’s most effective moments came from a mix of spectacle, title changes and character-driven comedy. The order below is an editorial judgment, not an official or objective ranking; results are separate from the assessment.
TripleManía XXXIII took place on August 16, 2025, at Arena Ciudad de México in Mexico City. WWE reported that the event streamed globally on WWE and AAA YouTube channels in English and Spanish. WWE’s August 18 recap also reported more than 4.3 million viewers in the first 24 hours, a peak live concurrent audience of 614,000, attendance of 19,691 and 208 million views across official WWE and AAA social platforms. These are company-reported figures, not independent measurements.
The ranking weighs in-ring execution and pacing, story clarity, spectacle, finish and payoff, and each match’s contribution to the event’s rhythm. Bleacher Report’s grades and observations are identified as that outlet’s views, not audience consensus. CAGEMATCH’s user-submitted rating is community context, not a critical verdict.
TripleManía XXXIII matches ranked
1. AAA Mega Championship fatal four-way
Result: El Hijo del Vikingo retained against Dragon Lee, Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano.

This is the strongest overall match because the four-way gave the main event a clear, immediate question: could anyone take the title from Vikingo? The contenders brought distinct identities and the match had the scale expected of the closing championship bout. Bleacher Report said the wrestlers worked to make it feel worthy of the main event, while also noting interference and additional Grande Americano appearances in its account. Those distractions complicate the title story, but the central stakes remain legible and Vikingo’s retention gives the show a decisive finish.
That blend of pace, star presence and championship consequence makes it the most complete match on the card, even if the interference keeps the finish from feeling entirely clean.
2. AAA Tag Team Championship Street Fight
Result: Pagano and Psycho Clown defeated champions Angel and Berto to win the titles.
The street fight delivers a sharp energy shift: weapons and chaotic brawling turn the title bout into a spectacle rather than a conventional tag match. Bleacher Report described it as a strong lift for the show and graded it B+. In that outlet’s account, Psycho Clown pinned Berto after a Spanish Fly. The title change gives the chaos a concrete payoff, though the weapon-heavy format makes pacing and coherent tag structure harder to judge than in a standard championship match.

- Reenact favorite WWE Main Event matches or create new rivalries and moves for play and display!
- WWE fans can find their favorite Superstar figure or can collect them all (each sold separately, subject to availability).
Its high-energy approach works best as an event moment; the match ranks below the main event because spectacle and disorder carry more weight here than a steadily developed contest.
3. Reina de Reinas Championship triple threat
Result: Flammer retained against Faby Apache and Natalya.
The three-way format offers a natural opportunity for changing alliances and layered offense, while putting Flammer’s championship at stake against two challengers. Bleacher Report described the bout as physical and noted that Natalya became more involved later. The available account does not establish a broader audience response, so the match’s success is best judged by how well its closing stretch balances the three competitors and protects the champion’s position.
It has a clear title purpose and a useful contrast with the brawling tag-team match, but the reported observations give less reason to place it above the card’s more distinctive peaks.

4. Mixed six-person tag
Result: Finn Bálor, JD McDonagh and Raquel Rodriguez defeated Lola Vice, Mr. Iguana and Niño Hamburguesa. Roxanne Perez accompanied the Judgment Day trio.
This match leans into comedy and character work rather than a heavy dramatic arc. Bleacher Report called it relatively light on story, but said the crowd seemed engaged, and graded it C+. That engagement matters: a match can serve the event by giving the audience a lighter, more playful change of pace. The trade-off is that comedy can loosen the tag structure, and the available account does not point to a particularly strong escalation or payoff.
It functions as a palate cleanser, though it offers less sustained championship-level tension than the matches above it.
5. Copa Bardahl Cibernético match
Result: Omos won the 14-person elimination contest, defeating Abismo Negro Jr., Aero Star, Cibernético, Cruz Del Toro, Joaquin Wilde, La Parka, Laredo Kid, Mecha Wolf, Microman, Octagón Jr., Otis, Pimpinela Escarlata and Taurus.

With 14 entrants and a 26:36 duration listed by CAGEMATCH, the match has the scale to create a rolling series of surprises. That format can also make individual eliminations difficult to follow amid a crowded field. One standout contrast is Microman against Omos: Bleacher Report framed the pairing as a David-and-Goliath dynamic. The elimination sequence gives the finish a straightforward shape—Omos eliminates Abismo Negro Jr. and Cruz Del Toro, Microman later eliminates Otis, and Omos eliminates Microman before going on to remove Octagón Jr. and La Parka. The full sequence is recorded by CAGEMATCH.
The match’s appeal is spectacle and variety more than a single, sustained story. Omos’s win gives the sprawling field a focal point, but the sheer number of participants makes it harder for every elimination to register with equal force.
6. AAA Latin American Championship
Result: El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. defeated champion El Mesías to win the title.
The family-at-ringside story gives the championship change an emotional hook, but a title switch needs more than a meaningful premise to become a compelling match. Bleacher Report’s live reviewer felt the bout lacked the flow and excitement expected of a major-event title match and graded it C. That is one reviewer’s assessment, but it identifies the central weakness: the story and result have more weight than the reported in-ring escalation.

The new champion is a clear outcome; the match itself is the least convincing of the six based on the available account of its pacing and payoff.
