The available official announcements don’t establish which eight trailers or first-look clips belong in this roundup, so there isn’t a reliable basis for presenting a definitive eight-title list. Netflix has announced several recent trailers and previews, but the announcements vary by format and market; the details below identify what is confirmed and what still needs checking.
What recent Netflix announcements confirm
Netflix’s newsroom announced a trailer for the Swedish psychological thriller A Couple of Lies on October 2, 2026. Separate announcements dated September 30 covered a teaser trailer, poster, and October 30 premiere for South Korea’s mystery-horror series Dead-End Job, an official trailer for Spain’s Collision Course, and a main trailer and release date for Brazil’s The Gift of Deceit. Netflix labels the markets for these announcements; a local announcement should not be treated as proof of worldwide availability. Netflix newsroom announcements.
Why an arrivals list is not a trailer list
Netflix Tudum’s October arrivals guide, written by Ashley Lee and dated September 30, 2026, lists upcoming titles including Animals, East of Eden, Sacrifice, Hollywood Arts, Nobody Wants This, Lupin, and The Diplomat. It describes Animals as a thriller starring Ben Affleck and Kerry Washington about a couple whose son is kidnapped; East of Eden as Zoe Kazan’s adaptation of John Steinbeck’s classic; and Sacrifice as a hostage thriller starring Chris Evans and Anya Taylor-Joy. An arrival listing establishes that a title is on the monthly guide, not that its trailer has just been released. October arrivals guide; Tudum title details.
Where to check for previews and first looks
Netflix Tudum’s 2026 slate page is an official place to look for upcoming stories and previews; its featured links include an Enola Holmes 3 trailer. Slate pages can change, so check the linked title’s current details rather than assuming the preview or release information remains unchanged. Netflix Tudum 2026 slate.

How to tell what kind of clip Netflix announced
Netflix uses distinct labels for trailers, teasers, first looks, and release-date announcements. A release-date post may include no footage; a teaser is not necessarily a full trailer. Before treating a clip as a current recommendation, verify the official clip itself, its announcement date, the title’s release status, and any market label attached to the announcement. The headline alone does not identify the intended eight selections. Netflix newsroom announcements; Topic reference.
