How this list relates to IMDb
IMDb’s official action-filtered Top 250 chart is based on user ratings. IMDb says its formula includes the number of ratings a movie receives and the value of ratings from regular users. It also says a movie needs ratings from at least 25,000 users to qualify. That describes IMDb’s chart method; it is not a measure of critical consensus or an objective verdict on artistic quality.
