TLC frames what follows as a broader new chapter: Tammy taking on more responsibilities, volunteering at an animal shelter and planning to move in with her girlfriend, Andrea. What the show documented about Tammy’s surgery
TLC’s official video description traces the televised story from Tammy receiving approval for surgery to a family celebration, surgery day and the reveal. TLC’s episode listing also identifies an episode in which she gets skin-removal surgery. Together, these official materials establish the procedure as a central milestone in the series’ storyline, rather than providing a medical account of the operation.
Before the procedure, Tammy described worrying about both pain and how she would look afterward. In an E!
