With over 114,000 employees and 60,000 engineers and scientists, it has become integral to the safety of our nation. In 2021 alone they secured 47 billion dollars worth of government contracts – an impressive feat that showcases just how far ahead of its competitors they are.

The Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II is a highly advanced, single-seat, single-engine aircraft capable of performing both air superiority and strike operations. He was famous for leading the Skunk Works – an incredibly efficient research division that created some of Lockheed’s most advanced and successful aircraft.

9. Lockheed Martin Palmdale Skunk Works Factory
A visit to the Palmdale Airport is always a treat – and this time was no different. As we drove up with our truck and trailer, we were greeted with the sight of the massive Lockheed Martin Skunk Works factory. There stood two aircraft out on display, with two more positions currently empty.
