There was no single group of Tina Turner backup dancers with one shared fate. The Ikettes sang and danced in the Ike & Tina Turner Revue; later, different performers joined Turner’s solo tours. Sources identify a few of them and document their work onstage, but do not establish what happened to most after their time with Turner.
Who were the Ikettes?
The Ikettes were hand-selected backing singers and dancers for the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, according to the Memphis Music Hall of Fame. The revue kept a demanding schedule of club one-nighters, international tours and U.S. coliseum dates. That history describes the group’s work, but it does not provide a complete roster or biographies of what each performer did later.
The Ikettes should not be treated as a name for every dancer who worked with Tina Turner. Turner’s solo-era tours featured other performers, and the people documented from one tour do not represent everyone who shared her stages across her career.
Which dancers are identified by name?
LeJeune Richardson
Documentary directors Dan Lindsay and T.J. Martin describe LeJeune Richardson as both a backup dancer and an Ikette in their discussion of Tina. They also describe her as a witness to abuse. That is specific context about Richardson’s connection to the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, not evidence about the experiences of every dancer who worked with Turner.

Ann Behringer
A Rolling Stone India retrospective identifies Ann Behringer as a backup dancer and singer during Turner’s comeback period. It quotes Behringer describing Turner’s ambition to reach the level of the Rolling Stones, with mainstream success and hits of her own. The account establishes her work with Turner, but does not trace her later life.
What is known about the 1990 Foreign Affair tour?
A fan-maintained tour-history page lists Richardson and Behringer as dancers on Turner’s 1990 Foreign Affair tour. The page also says that All the Best – The Live Collection includes footage from the tour. The lineup is useful for identifying performers on that tour, but it is not a primary source for their later careers or a comprehensive list of Turner’s dancers.

What can be said about their careers afterward?
The available accounts establish selected roles and tour participation, not a shared outcome. They do not reliably document the later careers or current status of most of Turner’s dancers. In particular, they do not establish Behringer’s later path or identify the dancers on Turner’s 2008–09 50th Anniversary Tour. A tour credit or a role in a documentary is not enough to fill in those biographical gaps.

Tina Turner’s later stage career was not simply a continuation of the Ike & Tina revue roster. The National Museum of African American History and Culture notes that Turner continued releasing music and touring in the 1980s and 1990s, and that her costumes and dance routines influenced later performance and music-video culture. That broader history helps explain the scale of her stage legacy; it does not identify what became of individual dancers.
