After his My 600-lb Life episode, Chris Parsons said he had decided against bariatric surgery and was continuing to work on his health. A March 2023 interview reported that he weighed 364 pounds at the end of the episode, down from 620 pounds at the start. Those are episode-era figures—not a verified update on his weight or health today.
Chris Parsons’ Season 11 episode
Chris appeared as Chris P in “Chris P’s Journey,” Season 11, Episode 7 of My 600-lb Life. Apple TV lists the episode as released on March 15, 2023, with a runtime of 1 hour 23 minutes. Its synopsis describes how his weight gain was limiting his mobility and affecting his relationship with his daughter, and says he turned to his mother for help after seven years apart. What the episode-era weight figures show
In a Distractify interview published the same day as the episode listing, Chris was reported to have started at 620 pounds, reached 382 pounds during the episode, and finished at 364 pounds. The outlet described his total loss as more than 250 pounds. These figures refer to the show and the 2023 interview; they are not independently verified current measurements. Did Chris Parsons have weight-loss surgery?
No. In the 2023 interview, Chris said, “I decided to not have the surgery.” He explained that he preferred trying to lose weight without a major operation, while acknowledging that surgery might be appropriate if he could not make progress on his own. That was his personal view, not medical advice.

What did Chris say about life after the show?
Chris said he wanted to build a lifestyle he could maintain over the long term and was still working on his health when interviewed. He linked his motivation to his daughter and his desire for them to live as long as possible. Those comments describe his outlook in March 2023; they do not establish how his health or circumstances have changed since then.
Is there a later update on Chris?
The available sources do not establish Chris’s present-day weight or health, whether he later had surgery, or whether he appeared in a follow-up episode. TLC describes My 600-lb Life: Where Are They Now? as a series that catches up with former patients, but Chris was not listed on the reviewed page. That page alone does not prove he never appeared.
