The Edition and Bundle were full packages built on the base game, while the Pack was a separate add-on that existing WWE 2K24 owners could buy by itself and that requires the base game to play. This article explains what each option contained, how they differed, and what to check before relying on any of that information today, since the launch offers have ended.
What the Bray Wyatt Edition Pack added
According to 2K’s October 16, 2024 announcement, the Pack was a tribute to Bray Wyatt and introduced a version of The Fiend that had never appeared in WWE programming. Its contents were:
- A playable alternate version of The Fiend, the headline addition.
- A playable in-game Mattel Bray Wyatt action figure.
- An updated playable Uncle Howdy featuring Bo Dallas.
- A Fiend-themed championship belt.
- A Firefly Funhouse MyFACTION manager card.
- 15,000 VC (WWE 2K’s in-game currency).
Edition, Bundle, or standalone Pack: what each one included
The three options were priced and packaged differently, so the useful comparison is what each one contains. The table below uses only the figures 2K stated in its announcement.
| Option | Base game included | Bray Wyatt Edition Pack included | Other content | VC stated |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bray Wyatt Edition | Yes | Yes | Contents of the Forty Years of WrestleMania Edition and Deluxe Edition, the Nightmare Family Pack, Season Pass, and Showcase Superstar Unlock | 67,500 VC overall |
| Bray Wyatt Bundle | Yes | Yes | None beyond the base game and Pack, as described by 2K | 32,500 additional VC, on top of the Pack’s 15,000 VC |
| Bray Wyatt Edition Pack (standalone) | No; requires WWE 2K24 | Is the Pack | None beyond the Pack’s listed contents | 15,000 VC |
The Bundle should not be confused with the full Edition. The Edition also carried forward earlier edition bonus content, which 2K listed as including the WrestleMania 40 arena, alternate attires, MyFACTION cards, and five post-launch DLC character packs. The announcement did not name those five character packs in the material that was reviewed, so this article does not list them.

The new Fiend and its design history
2K says the alternate Fiend was co-designed by Bray Wyatt and Jason Baker of Callosum Studios. The design was originally intended for Wyatt’s return to WWE programming, which did not happen, and it includes a redesigned mask and a new lantern. 2K’s own description of the design reads:
“Co-designed by Bray Wyatt and Jason Baker of Callosum Studios, the creative brainchild of Baker and special effects legend Tom Savini, the new, unrealised version of “The Fiend” was to be featured in Wyatt’s return to WWE programming, which never came to be.”

This is the publisher’s account of the design, not an independent report on how it was developed. The design was released in WWE 2K24 through the Pack.
Buying the Pack separately and what it requires
The Pack was sold as downloadable content for the base game. Steam’s store listing for the Bray Wyatt Edition Pack identifies it as DLC and states that it requires the WWE 2K24 base game. A player without the base game could not use the Pack’s content on that platform.

The available evidence does not establish whether a physical base-game release included the Pack, or whether any retailer sold a physical Bray Wyatt Edition during the launch period. Readers looking for a physical copy should not assume a Pack was bundled into one.
The launch code and the offer’s status
The announcement included a temporary redemption code, LAMASCARA2K24, with a deadline of 9 a.m. PT on October 21, 2024. That deadline has passed, and the code should not be treated as a live offer.

2K also compared the game’s ratings with other titles, describing it as highest-rated. That claim was tied to average Metacritic ratings on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X as of October 16, 2024. It is a dated, platform-specific comparison and does not describe current scores.
