The same report said production was expected to begin in July 2025. That was a forecast made in April, and the sources available here do not establish whether production started, whether the project remains active, or when it might be released. There is no confirmed release date in these sources.
What is The Mark about?
The reported premise follows Eden, an enigmatic spy on a covert mission. Her involvement with Ben Dawson, a single father, pulls him into an espionage operation: mistaken identity makes Ben a decoy while Eden targets a network of corrupt politicians. This is the synopsis as reported in April 2025, not evidence of a completed film or a current production update.

How does it relate to Trigger Warning?
Trigger Warning is Alba’s released 2024 action film, directed by Mouly Surya. Netflix’s official synopsis follows Parker, a Special Forces commando who returns to her hometown after her father’s death, takes over the family bar, and investigates what happened to him while facing a violent gang. Netflix lists John Brancato, Josh Olson, and Halley Gross as writers.
The projects have different premises: Trigger Warning is a hometown-set action thriller, while The Mark was reported as an espionage story. The available reporting does not establish that Trigger Warning’s performance caused Alba’s casting in The Mark.

Netflix’s title page lists Trigger Warning as a TV-MA action film starring Jessica Alba, Mark Webber, and Anthony Michael Hall, with streaming and offline download options. Catalog availability can vary by country. Netflix has not provided a viewership figure in the sources cited here, so “streaming success” should not be read as a verified number of views or hours watched.
What Alba has said about Trigger Warning’s action
In a June 2024 Netflix Tudum feature, Alba said: “I haven’t really done hand-to-hand combat and intense action in such a long time.” The feature describes her work with Surya and the stunt team on Trigger Warning’s fight choreography; it is production context for that film, not information about the action sequences in The Mark.
