What happened in episode 3?
ABC’s Week 3 feature describes the fallout from the previous rose ceremony, with Justin, Lexi and Susie weighing their next moves. Andrew and Sean arrive with date cards, and the arrival of the Goldens brings new connections and a shift in the beach dynamic. Jesse Palmer also offers an advantage to a beachgoer who reveals the biggest secret. ABC presents this as a synopsis, not a scene-by-scene recap. Read ABC’s Week 3 feature.
The episode’s choices and arrivals are separate from the later question of who stayed together after filming. ABC’s episode listing dates episode 1003 to July 15, 2025, and says episodes air on ABC and stream on Hulu. For Jess and Spencer, the outlet reported that the couple shared this joint statement in their Instagram Stories in September 2026: “After a lot of honest conversations and reflection, we’ve made the difficult decision to end our engagement and go our separate ways.” It is a joint statement, not a quote attributed to either person individually. How do those updates compare with the 2025 reunion snapshot?
A September 8, 2025 Swooon update reported that Alexe and Andrew, Kat and Dale, and Jeremy and Bailey were still together after the reunion; Jess and Spencer were engaged. It also reported that Kim Buike and Faith Martin, Brian Autz and Parisa Shifteh, and Sean McLaughlin and Allyshia Gupta had split. That is a historical snapshot, not a current status check; the later report of Jess and Spencer’s breakup supersedes their 2025 engagement status. Read the September 2025 Swooon update.

What “still together” does—and doesn’t—mean here
There are three different timelines to keep straight: episode 3 shows decisions during the competition; a post-filming update describes whether a pair continued dating or reached a milestone; and a dated report is not the same as independent confirmation of their status today. “Still together” also covers different levels of commitment: dating, making a relationship official, planning to move in, or being engaged are not interchangeable.
For that reason, episode 3 is a starting point for the season’s connections, not proof that any pairing endured. The September 2026 update is the newest status report in the sources cited here, but it does not establish every couple’s status on October 8, 2026.
