Crunchyroll listed its international premiere at 2:30 a.m. Pacific Time that day. In Japan, the weekly television broadcast was scheduled for Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. Japan time, while Japanese streaming services were set to begin at 6:00 p.m. on May 4.
When did My Hero Academia Season 7 come out?
The Season 7 story began on May 4, 2024. The Japanese series website identified its opening story episode as episode 139. Four My Hero Academia: Memories recap installments aired in April beforehand; they were a lead-in, not the start of Season 7’s new story.
The official announcement placed the Japanese television broadcast on Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. Japan time on the Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV network across 29 stations, with regional exceptions. The official announcement gives the broadcast details.
What time did Season 7 release?
Release times varied by platform and territory. The announced times below are historical launch schedules, not a statement of current streaming availability.

| Crunchyroll international stream | May 4, 2024, at 2:30 a.m. Pacific Time | Crunchyroll listed North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. Crunchyroll’s release guide states the premiere time. |
| Japanese television | Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. Japan time | Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV network across 29 stations, with regional exceptions. The official anime announcement lists the schedule. |
| Japanese streaming | From 6:00 p.m. Japan time on May 4, 2024 | Launch-era Japanese service schedule. The official streaming notice lists the services and start time. |
These are separate clocks: the Japanese TV broadcast, Japanese streaming launch, and Crunchyroll’s international time should not be treated as one universal release time. Crunchyroll also listed an English dub slot of Saturdays at 1:00 p.m. Pacific Time; that was a separate schedule, not the Japanese broadcast time. Its seasonal lineup gives that dub airtime.
Was the April Memories special the first episode of Season 7?
No. My Hero Academia: Memories comprised four recap episodes scheduled for April 6, 13, 20, and 27, 2024. The new Season 7 story followed on May 4. The official announcement identifies episode 139 as the first episode of that story. The announcement distinguishes the recap schedule from the season premiere.
