My Hero Academia’s eighth television season is branded FINAL SEASON and is the series’ final chapter. Its Japanese broadcast began on October 4, 2025; the story brings the heroes’ conflict with Tomura Shigaraki and All For One to its decisive end. A Japanese broadcast schedule and a past streaming announcement do not establish what is currently available in every country.
When did My Hero Academia Season 8 come out?
The official Japanese premiere was Saturday, October 4, 2025. The announced schedule was Saturdays at 5:30 p.m. Japan time on the Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV network of 29 stations, with some regional exceptions. That is the Japanese television schedule, not a worldwide release time or a guarantee of a simultaneous streaming release in every territory. Is Season 8 the final season?
Yes. The official series site identifies FINAL SEASON as the television anime’s final chapter. TOHO’s home-video listing likewise labels the season FINAL SEASON. The series announcement and TOHO’s Japanese DVD listing support that designation.
What is the final season about?
The official synopsis centers on the heroes’ final battle against the villains led by Tomura Shigaraki and All For One. Deku is central to the decisive confrontation, as is Armored All Might, who fights using a powered suit. This is a spoiler-light overview rather than a recap of how the conflict ends. Is there an official trailer?
Yes. TOHO animation published an official FINAL SEASON teaser trailer vol. 2 on June 16, 2025. Its announcement said the season would begin in October 2025. Watch the official teaser trailer vol. 2 on YouTube.
Where can you watch My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON?
Crunchyroll announced that it would stream the season at its October 4, 2025 premiere. That is a historical announcement, not confirmation that the season is currently in the service’s catalog in your country. Check the service’s current local listing for access and available language or subtitle options; the Japanese broadcast schedule does not determine streaming availability elsewhere. Is the final season available on DVD or Blu-ray?
TOHO’s Japanese online store lists FINAL SEASON DVD Vol. 1, released February 18, 2026, and a Blu-ray Vol. 1 variation. The DVD listing describes approximately 138 minutes across three discs, covering episodes 160–165; the product page says the home-video release is split into two volumes. These are details for the Japanese editions, so check a specific listing for disc format, region compatibility, language and subtitles, stock, and whether the volumes together provide the episodes you want.
