How did CM Punk beat Seth Rollins?
Punk pinned Rollins after a chaotic match that included both men using the other’s signature offense and Rollins injuring his knee. The closing sequence made the result decisive: after Rollins hit a superplex, Punk rolled through and delivered two Go to Sleeps for the pin.

- The rivals brawled into the crowd before returning to the ring.
- Rollins hit Punk’s signature Go to Sleep, but Punk escaped the pin by rolling out.
- Punk later landed a Stomp, but it was not enough to end the match.
- Outside the ring, Rollins hit a Pedigree on the announce table and injured his own knee. Despite the injury, he returned to the action, hit a Stomp, and came close to winning. Punk broke the count by placing his foot on the middle rope.
- Rollins landed a superplex. Punk rolled through the aftermath and hit two Go to Sleeps to score the pin.
WWE presented Punk–Rollins as a grudge match. The finish gave Punk the win; it was not a championship change, and the result alone does not establish that their rivalry was over. WWE’s episode recap documents the match sequence.

What else happened on the Netflix premiere?
Ripley reclaimed the Women’s World Championship
Ripley’s first Riptide did not finish Morgan. Dominik Mysterio threw the championship into the ring, distracting the referee and giving Morgan an opening to hit Oblivion. Later, Morgan attempted another Oblivion, but Ripley countered and landed two Riptides to win. Ripley then kicked Mysterio and hit a Riptide on him. The Undertaker appeared afterward to celebrate with her.
Reigns won Tribal Combat and recovered the Ula Fala
The Reigns–Sikoa match involved interference from both sides of the Bloodline conflict. Kevin Owens interrupted Reigns before a spear, and Cody Rhodes arrived to brawl with Owens. Once the match returned to one-on-one, Reigns countered Sikoa’s Samoan Spike into a Spear and followed with a second Spear. Afterward, The Rock returned the Ula Fala to Reigns.

What was the first Raw on Netflix, and where did it air?
The January 6, 2025 episode marked the start of Raw’s Netflix era. It aired live from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. Netflix’s Raw guide, updated October 6, 2025, described Netflix as Raw’s exclusive home in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Latin America, and other territories, with more regions added over time. That is a dated description of availability, not a guarantee of current access in every country; availability can vary by territory.

How many people watched the premiere?
WWE and Netflix published their premiere figures on January 9, 2025. They are different measurements, not interchangeable counts of unique viewers.
- 4.9 million global Live+1 views: WWE and Netflix calculated views by dividing total viewing hours by runtime, describing the result as the nearest proxy for household-level average-minute audience. The data cutoff was midnight Pacific Time each day, and the figure excluded 92 countries and territories where Netflix did not yet distribute WWE.
- 2.6 million U.S. households (Live+SD): VideoAmp supplied this household figure, as reported by WWE and Netflix. Their release compared it with Raw’s 2024 U.S. average of 1.2 million households, calling the premiere audience 116% higher and the largest for a Monday Night Raw broadcast in the preceding five years.
- 223 million social views: WWE reported this total across platforms and said it exceeded the social views for any Raw episode in 2024.
The announcement also reported that the Intuit Dome event sold out, set a WWE arena-event grossing record, and set a merchandise-sales record for a non-Premium Live Event. These are company-reported figures and claims; the release does not make them independent audience estimates. See the January 9 WWE and Netflix announcement for its definitions and comparisons.
