Does Rebecca Ferguson sing the soundtrack version?
No. Ferguson portrays Jenny Lind, while Allred performs the recorded singing vocal. That separation does not mean Ferguson cannot sing; it reflects the distinction between acting the role and supplying the voice for a character presented as a world-class opera singer. Ferguson described herself as an actress and praised Allred as “the most incredible singer,” in remarks reported by Classic FM.
Who is Jenny Lind, and where does the song appear?
Jenny Lind is the character Ferguson plays in the 2017 film. “Never Enough” accompanies Lind’s New York debut concert, giving the song its place in the story as a performance by the character—not a claim that the actor and soundtrack vocalist are the same person. The film’s official page lists its release date as December 20, 2017: 20th Century Studios.

Who wrote “Never Enough”?
Benj Pasek and Justin Paul wrote the song. Qobuz lists both in the track credits alongside Allred’s vocal credit. A choral arrangement was also listed in Hal Leonard’s 2018 catalog, item 00274947; that catalog entry establishes the arrangement’s publication, not whether a particular edition is currently available.
