Disney’s published policy says a guest found to be misusing or abusing an accommodation can be permanently barred from both Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. The relevant context is a Disability Access Service (DAS) eligibility conversation—not an employment interview or a universal rule that every inaccurate statement leads to a park ban.
What Disney’s policy says about permanent bans
Disneyland Resort’s current accessibility guidance states: “If it is determined that a Guest is misusing or abusing any accommodation, the Guest will be permanently barred from entering Walt Disney World Resort and the Disneyland Resort, and any previously purchased Annual Passes, Magic Key passes, tickets, and other park products and services will be forfeited and not refunded.”
The wording is broad: it refers to misuse or abuse of “any accommodation.” It does not say that every mistaken answer, misunderstanding, or inaccurate statement in a conversation automatically results in a ban. The published language describes the consequence if Disney determines that a guest has misused or abused an accommodation.
Why “interviews” means a DAS eligibility conversation
In this context, the conversation is about Disability Access Service, or DAS—not a job interview. Disney describes DAS as intended for guests who, due to a developmental disability such as autism or a similar condition, cannot wait in a conventional queue for an extended period. The Disneyland guidance says guests can speak with a Cast Member through live video chat or in person at an Accessibility Services window to determine eligibility.

WDW News Today reported in April 2024 that Disney’s DAS FAQ connected untrue statements made while seeking DAS to possible permanent barring from both resorts and forfeiture of park products. That report supplies context for the headline phrasing, but Disney’s current official wording is the broader statement about misuse or abuse of an accommodation; it should not be treated as a verbatim current rule that any lie in an eligibility conversation automatically triggers a ban.
How this differs from other Disney policies
General park rules
Walt Disney World’s property rules separately reserve the right to deny admission, prevent entry, or require someone already admitted to leave in specified circumstances, including failure to follow rules and safety, security, or order concerns. Those general enforcement provisions are distinct from the accommodation language and do not establish a new blanket ban for statements made in any guest interview.

Employment interviews
Disney Careers’ candidate guidance addresses job applicants, not park admission. It permits AI use for preparation, research, résumé refinement, and interview practice, while warning candidates not to create false or misleading experience, skills, or qualifications in application materials or generate interview answers in real time. It does not state that a job candidate who lies will be permanently banned from Disney parks.
planDisney panel applications
The planDisney panel requirements concern eligibility to apply as a planDisney panelist, including participation and industry or employment conflicts. They are unrelated to DAS eligibility and do not describe a park-guest ban policy.

What is—and is not—publicly established
- Established: Disney’s current Disneyland accessibility page publishes permanent barring from Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort, plus forfeiture without refund of previously purchased passes, tickets, and other park products and services, when a guest is determined to be misusing or abusing an accommodation.
- Not established in the reviewed official material: how many guests have been barred, how Disney evaluates individual cases, or whether there is an appeal process.
- Not established: that every inaccurate answer or alleged lie in a DAS eligibility conversation automatically meets the policy’s misuse-or-abuse standard.
The cited official pages were available on October 8, 2026. Because Disney may update eligibility criteria and enforcement language, consult the current Disneyland accessibility guidance for the operative wording.
