Weijia Jiang announced in March 2022 that she and her husband, Luther Lowe, were expecting their second child, with the baby due in early June. That was the expected timing reported at the time—not a confirmed birth date. CBS News’ current biography says Jiang has a daughter and a son, but does not identify the younger child by name or give a birth date.
What Weijia Jiang announced in 2022
A People report, syndicated by Yahoo Entertainment on March 7, 2022, said Jiang and Lowe were expecting their second baby. Jiang told People, “My husband Luther and I can’t wait to meet our second baby, who is due in early June.”
Jiang said the couple planned to wait until delivery to learn the baby’s sex, explaining that they would “wait to find out the gender until I deliver since we love surprises.” The report describes their plan at the time; it does not establish the child’s sex.
What Jiang shared about her family
Jiang and Lowe already had a daughter, Frankie Mei, who was three when the announcement was published. Jiang said Frankie, who had turned three on Christmas Eve, was looking forward to becoming a big sister. She added: “She keeps looking into my belly button hoping to catch a glimpse of her sibling.”
