Did Chizuru really reject Kazuya, and did the series end?
The reported Chapter 380 scene depicts an apparent rejection, not a confirmed permanent outcome. Nor was it the end of the manga: official listings show publication continued into 2026. Shueisha’s TV listing displayed Chapter 441, dated September 29, 2026, while K MANGA listed Chapter 440 with a September 15, 2026 release date. Those listings may reflect different platform schedules or update timing, so they do not establish one universal release calendar.

It does not show that the series’ reputation objectively or permanently collapsed. No verified survey or other named statistic measures a change in audience opinion, and online reactions should not be presented as universal.

The “after 8 years” wording is also headline framing; the sources here do not independently verify that exact elapsed period at the time of the Chapter 380 controversy.
