Spoilers for Thunderbolts* and both end-credits scenes.
Thunderbolts* has two end-credits scenes. The first gives Red Guardian a small, funny payoff: he spots the New Avengers on a cereal box. The later scene jumps ahead 14 months, introduces a dispute over who can use the Avengers name, and ends with a ship marked “4”—a clear Fantastic Four connection and a bridge toward Avengers: Doomsday.
How many end-credits scenes are in Thunderbolts*?
There are two: one during the credits and another after the full credits. The first is a brief comic beat; the second advances the story and points toward the next major crossover. [Los Angeles Times; TheWrap]
What happens in the first, mid-credits scene?
Alexei Shostakov, also known as Red Guardian, notices a cereal box featuring the New Avengers and excitedly calls attention to it. The moment pays off his earlier hope that the team would become famous. After Valentina has named the group the New Avengers, the cereal-box appearance is a playful sign that their new identity has reached the public. [Los Angeles Times; TheWrap]

What happens in the final scene?
A 14-month time jump
The later scene is set 14 months after the main story, according to the Los Angeles Times. The New Avengers are now operating as a team. They hear that Sam Wilson is threatening action over their use of the name “Avengers,” setting up a conflict over the team’s public identity. [Los Angeles Times]
The ship marked “4”
The team receives an alert about an object entering Earth’s atmosphere from another dimension. The object is a ship bearing a large “4,” pointing to the Fantastic Four. That reveal connects the New Avengers’ story to the wider MCU, but the scene itself does not explain the ship’s full journey or why it arrives. [Los Angeles Times; TheWrap]

Does the ending set up Avengers: Doomsday?
Yes. Director Jake Schreier said he was present when the later scene was filmed and attributed it to a production that was about to begin. ComicBook.com reported that the scene was filmed during Avengers: Doomsday production by directors Joe and Anthony Russo. Schreier’s reported comment was: “I didn’t film that scene. I was there when it was filmed, and I can say that it comes from the set of a production that might be starting production right around now.” [ComicBook.com]
Later reporting by ComicBook.com on the official Doomsday trailer says the Fantastic Four are aboard the ship and Thor is with them. That subsequent trailer coverage makes the crossover link more explicit than the “4” marking alone. It still does not establish every plot step between the two films, including the ship’s complete route or the full reason for its arrival. [ComicBook.com]
