Her story intersects with Lillian Walsh’s plans for the orphanage just as Lillian is preparing to leave for England to help her sister Grace through a difficult pregnancy.
What Cindy Busby plays in When Hope Calls
Busby plays Nora Anderson, a lawyer who arrives in Brookfield during the second season. The season’s central setup places Nora’s arrival alongside Lillian’s preparations to travel to England. Lillian’s absence could reshape the orphanage, and Nora’s undisclosed secret gives her presence in town a personal and practical stake in the story.
When Hope Calls is a spin-off of When Calls the Heart. Its story follows sisters Lillian Walsh and Grace Bennett, who were separated after their parents’ deaths and reunite as adults in Brookfield, where they establish an orphanage. Season 2 is set in 1916 and continues the orphanage’s relationships while widening the story to include ranch life and law enforcement. Parade’s Season 2 guide and TV Week’s coverage describe the season’s setup and new arrivals.
Season 2 cast and new storylines

For franchise catch-up, a September 2026 Parade update said all three then-released seasons were scheduled to stream on Great American Pure Flix beginning October 25, 2026. It also reported that Seasons 1 and 2 were on Netflix and that Season 3 was exclusive to Pure Flix at the time of publication. Those are dated catalog reports, not guarantees of present availability in every region. The same update reported that Season 1 was available on DVD; it did not establish a Season 2 DVD listing. Season 2 is no longer the newest installment. Parade reported in September 2026 that Season 4 had begun production in late September, with eight episodes planned and a 2027 release expected; the report did not announce an official premiere date. For readers deciding where to begin, the first season introduces Lillian, Grace and the Brookfield orphanage, while Season 2 brings Nora and the new ranch and Mountie storylines into that world.
