The widely reported estimates were about $40 million for Jake Paul and $20 million for Mike Tyson—roughly $60 million combined. Those were not confirmed final payments: the promoters and the Texas Athletic Commission did not disclose official purse figures.
What were the reported amounts?

Why the amounts are not confirmed
Neither the promoters nor the Texas Athletic Commission disclosed official purses, according to CBS Sports and CBS News. Paul’s statement is direct evidence that he publicly cited $40 million before the fight, but it does not verify his eventual payout. Tyson’s roughly $20 million figure is an estimate attributed to Cejudo, not a published contract amount.
The reviewed reports do not establish whether either fighter received bonuses or revenue shares, or what deductions and taxes applied. For that reason, calling these figures “take-home pay” would go beyond what is known.

The event behind the estimates
Paul and Tyson fought on November 15, 2024, at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in a Netflix-streamed event. Netflix’s retrospective reported 72,300 attendees and more than 108 million live viewers; Paul won by unanimous decision after eight two-minute rounds. Those figures describe the event’s scale, not either boxer’s individual compensation. Netflix
Similarly, the live gate is not the same as a fighter’s purse. CBS Sports reported that Most Valuable Promotions announced a $17.8 million live gate, surpassing the Texas record. That event revenue does not independently confirm what Paul or Tyson was paid. CBS Sports
