YouTube does not schedule a playlist to broadcast continuously. To release UPSC lectures at set times, schedule each video in YouTube Studio and add it to a course playlist. To let an individual student repeat the course, they can turn on playlist looping during playback. To put recorded lectures on a continuous live watch page, use a separate encoder-based livestream workflow.
Choose the outcome you mean by “always-on”

Schedule each lecture for publication
- Sign in to YouTube Studio and select Create → Upload videos.
- Upload a lecture, then fill in its title, description, thumbnail, and other details.
- Add it to the relevant existing playlist, or create a playlist in the upload flow. Keep the playlist title and description accurate about its contents; YouTube’s Playlists policy applies to playlists and their descriptions.
- In the Schedule card, choose the publication date, time, and time zone, then schedule the upload. The video remains private until its scheduled time. Repeat for each lecture and check its visibility after it goes public. See YouTube Help’s video upload instructions and schedule video publish time.
Check the displayed date for India schedules
Choose your intended local time zone when scheduling. YouTube says the public watch-page date is based on Pacific Standard Time, so it can differ from the date shown in Studio for a schedule made in a time zone ahead of PST. For a publication close to midnight in India, check the public watch page rather than assuming the displayed date will match the Indian calendar date.
Make the cadence sustainable
Plan a release frequency you can maintain and schedule ahead where practical. YouTube Help recommends a consistent, sustainable release schedule. A Community Guidelines strike can prevent a scheduled video from publishing during the penalty period; the video stays private and must be rescheduled after that period ends. Let viewers loop the course playlist
During playback, a viewer can use the playlist controls to switch on Loop, repeating that playlist on their own device. This is useful for an individual revision session, but it does not start unattended playback for every student or create a live broadcast on your channel. YouTube explains the control in Loop videos or playlists on YouTube.

Run recorded lectures as a continuous live broadcast
If students need a live watch page that remains on air, schedule a livestream in YouTube Studio and connect an encoder using the stream key. The encoder must send the recorded lecture feed as an active stream; scheduling the event alone does not provide that feed. YouTube documents scheduled streams, stream keys, and encoder setup in its live stream settings and live streaming tips.
Protect the lecture archive
Keep the original lecture files separately. YouTube says it can automatically archive streams shorter than 12 hours, but a stream longer than 12 hours may not be captured; DVR rewind can also be limited or unavailable beyond 12 hours. These are platform limits, not a guarantee that every shorter stream will archive successfully. See YouTube Help on archiving live streams and DVR on live streams.

Check before you publish or go live
- Use scheduled publication for individual on-demand lectures; do not describe it as scheduling a playlist broadcast.
- Use playlist Loop only when the goal is repeat playback for a viewer.
- For a continuous live watch page, verify the encoder is connected and actively sending the intended lecture feed.
- Keep accurate playlist titles and descriptions, and retain local copies of the lecture recordings.
- Check the public watch-page date for schedules near the day boundary in India.
- Do not promise an ideal UPSC posting frequency or exam outcome based on platform scheduling guidance; choose a timetable your channel can sustain.
