2. Enable live access before the planned broadcast
If this is the first livestream on the channel, verify the account and enable live streaming at least 24 hours before you plan to go live. Do not leave this until the launch day. YouTube for Artists’ livestream guidance recommends enabling access in advance and testing the setup.

3. Choose how to send the bhajan playlist
Use YouTube Studio’s live workflow
Start from YouTube Studio’s live workflow. A mobile or webcam stream may suit a simple live presentation. For a pre-arranged music feed where you need more control and customization, use an encoder to send the broadcast to YouTube. YouTube’s guidance for creators describes the encoder option and testing; its Live Streaming API overview describes the encoder-to-YouTube broadcast lifecycle and checking stream status.
The official guidance cited here does not require a particular encoder, computer model, or dedicated hardware. If you run an encoder locally, choose equipment and a connection you can keep operating, and make your own arrangements for power, internet access, monitoring, and restart. These are operational needs, not a YouTube guarantee of continuous uptime.
Keep the playlist and permissions aligned
Use only recordings for which the channel has the necessary livestream permissions. Keep a record of which rights apply to each track and any Content ID allowlisting confirmation. A playlist containing a mix of cleared and uncleared material can still trigger a live match.

4. Test the entire stream privately

In YouTube Studio, create and configure the live broadcast using the workflow appropriate to your setup. If using an encoder, connect it to the broadcast and send the feed.

Set the test broadcast to unlisted and check that the actual audio and video reach YouTube. For a playlist, let the test run long enough to confirm that playback and any transitions work as intended.

Watch the live control room for stream status, warnings, and interruptions. Confirm that YouTube is receiving encoder data before you schedule or announce a public launch.

If a copyright warning or interruption appears, stop and resolve the rights or allowlisting issue with the rights holder before trying again publicly.
YouTube for Artists recommends an unlisted test before a high-production or high-investment event. Testing can reveal setup problems, but it cannot establish that an extended broadcast will never be interrupted.

A 24/7 broadcast needs an operating plan as well as a playlist. Assign someone to check the broadcast and decide how to respond if the encoder stops, the connection fails, or YouTube reports a rights issue. Independently verify any power, internet, and restart arrangements you choose; the official guidance cited here does not specify a complete redundancy or automatic-recovery design.
