For one prerecorded lesson, add it to an OBS Media Source and turn on Loop. For several lessons, use VLC Video Source and enable Loop Playlist. Set YouTube’s encoder options to match your video, computer, and stable upload capacity; there is no special Hindi-language encoder preset. Test the stream in YouTube’s Live Control Room before broadcasting.
Choose the right OBS source for your lesson
| Option | Use it for | Loop behavior and requirements |
|---|---|---|
| Media Source | One local video file | Enable Loop to replay the file when playback ends; no VLC installation is needed. |
| VLC Video Source | A sequence of video files | Enable Loop Playlist to restart the playlist. VLC must be installed; 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC. |
OBS lists common video formats including MP4, MOV, MKV, and WebM. Its source controls are described in the OBS Media Sources guide.
Set up one video to loop
- In OBS, select the scene that should carry the lesson. In Sources, click + and choose Media Source.
- Name the source if useful, then select the local lesson file. Check that it appears in the preview and is framed as intended.
- In the Media Source properties, enable Loop. OBS documents this as off by default; it makes the file play again after it finishes.
- Leave Restart playback when source becomes active enabled if the lesson should start from the beginning whenever its source becomes visible in the active scene. OBS documents this setting as on by default. It is separate from Loop: it controls what happens when the source becomes active, not what happens at the end of each playback.
- Confirm the source is visible using its eye icon in the Sources list. Scenes and sources determine what appears in the stream; a hidden source will not appear in the output. See the OBS Sources Guide.
If you want the video to vanish when it ends rather than remain on its final frame, OBS provides Show nothing when playback ends. For uninterrupted repetition, use Loop instead.
Set up a playlist
- Install VLC before adding the playlist source. Match VLC’s architecture to OBS: 64-bit OBS requires 64-bit VLC.
- In the chosen scene, add VLC Video Source and select the files for the playlist.
- Set Loop Playlist to On so OBS starts the playlist again after its final file. OBS documents this option as on by default, but verify it in the source properties.
- Check the scene preview and source visibility, then play through the playlist in a test stream to confirm the order and transitions.
Choose YouTube encoder settings
Use settings your encoder, computer, and upload connection can sustain reliably. YouTube’s guidance recommends RTMPS, constant bitrate (CBR), and a keyframe interval of two seconds; do not exceed four seconds. Its documented encoder workflow supports H.264, H.265/HEVC, and AV1, with frame rates up to 60 fps. Consult YouTube’s current encoder settings, bitrates, and resolutions for the selected codec and output format.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
H.264 bitrate reference
| Output | YouTube minimum | YouTube recommended |
|---|---|---|
| 720p30 | 3 Mbps | 8 Mbps |
| 1080p30 | 5 Mbps | 14 Mbps |
| 720p60 | 3 Mbps | 8 Mbps |
| 1080p60 | 6 Mbps | 17 Mbps |
These are YouTube’s H.264 platform recommendations, not guarantees that a particular computer, connection, or viewer can sustain the stream. Check your upload speed and leave capacity for other network traffic. A higher resolution or frame rate demands more from the encoder and connection; choose the highest setting that remains stable in testing. If your lesson was made at a lower resolution or frame rate, increasing the output does not add detail to its source.
Hindi narration, titles, and captions affect the lesson’s language presentation, not the encoder requirements in YouTube’s guidance. The cited YouTube settings do not specify a Hindi-specific profile.

Connect OBS to YouTube
- In YouTube Studio, create or select the live stream in the Live Control Room. For the exact workflow, see Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder.
- Copy the stream URL and stream key into the corresponding streaming fields in OBS. Treat the key like a password: it identifies where the encoder sends video and allows YouTube to accept the feed. Do not publish or share it.
- Save your encoder settings and start streaming from OBS when ready. If you reuse a past stream through YouTube’s Reuse settings, review the copied metadata and settings—including the stream key—before broadcasting. YouTube explains this in Manage live stream settings.
First-time live enablement can take up to 24 hours, according to YouTube’s setup guidance. Allow for that before scheduling your first broadcast.
Preflight the stream
- Test before the scheduled broadcast. YouTube advises setting up the encoder at least two hours ahead and starting it at least 15 minutes before a scheduled event.
- Include both audio and movement in the test, even if the lesson is mostly slides. Confirm that the audio is audible and the video is playing and looping as intended.
- Check the Live Control Room preview before starting the public broadcast, then monitor stream health and any warning messages while live.
- Verify the selected scene, source visibility, playlist order if applicable, stream key, resolution, frame rate, bitrate, and audio output.
These are YouTube’s published encoder recommendations and OBS’s documented source controls—not a single preset guaranteed to work on every setup.

Troubleshoot common problems
| Symptom | Likely check | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The lesson stops after one play | Media Source’s Loop may be off. | Open the source properties and enable Loop. |
| A playlist stops at its last file | Loop Playlist may be off, or VLC may not be installed with a matching architecture. | Turn on Loop Playlist and verify VLC installation; pair 64-bit OBS with 64-bit VLC. |
| The stream is blank or the lesson is missing | The source may be hidden or the wrong scene may be selected. | Select the intended scene and confirm the source’s eye icon indicates it is visible. |
| The stream is unstable or YouTube reports health issues | The chosen bitrate, resolution, or frame rate may exceed what the upload connection or computer can sustain. | Run a speed test, lower output demands, and repeat the preflight while watching Live Control Room stream health. |
| YouTube does not accept the feed | Check the stream URL and key, and confirm that live streaming has been enabled for the channel. | Copy the current credentials carefully, keep the key private, and allow up to 24 hours for first-time enablement. |
