Gyre: the documented choice for a repeating playlist
Gyre is the closer fit if your defining requirement is an actual playlist that starts over at its end. It describes uploading videos to cloud storage, arranging them into a playlist, connecting YouTube and letting that playlist repeat without keeping a computer or browser online. Restream: scheduled prerecorded playlists, not an endless playlist loop
Restream can suit scheduled prerecorded shows when a finite playlist is acceptable or when its wider streaming workflow is important. Its Help Center says playlists can contain up to 40 video entries and run for up to 24 hours. You can reorder entries before the playlist goes live; once it is airing, the help page says only graphics and chat can be edited. Playlist access requires Upload & Stream Marathon or Media add-ons. What the duplicate-entry workaround can and cannot do
Restream says you can duplicate video entries in a playlist to make content appear again, but a playlist is capped at 40 entries and 24 hours. This can extend a finite scheduled run; it is not the same as the playlist automatically restarting after its final entry. If the schedule must continue indefinitely without manual relaunch or rebuilding, choose a service whose documented playlist behavior does that.

For round-the-clock rotation, compare plans by the feature that matters most: a playlist that restarts unattended, usable library capacity, output resolution, and number of simultaneous streams. YouTube channel eligibility and monetization settings
Before connecting either service, confirm that your channel can livestream. Gyre’s September 2026 setup article says the channel must be verified, live streaming enabled, and free of live-streaming restrictions during the preceding 90 days. It describes API setup as requiring channel authorization. YouTube’s own encoder streaming help lists Gyre as a cloud-based 24/7 prerecorded-video tool.
Gyre’s article also says a YouTube Studio third-party monetization setting must be enabled for API-created streams to monetize from the outset. Enabling a setting does not guarantee monetization: eligibility and policy review depend on the channel and its content. A continuous stream is not a shortcut around copyright rules, reused-content assessment or other YouTube policies. Use material you have rights to stream and check YouTube’s current rules for your channel and format.

Gyre’s September 2026 article reports YouTube ceilings of 10 active streams per channel and three broadcasts per stream key. Because those figures are reported in a vendor article and platform limits can change, verify them in current YouTube Help before planning a multi-stream deployment.
Set up a YouTube playlist for continuous playback
With Gyre
- Confirm your YouTube channel is verified, live streaming is enabled, and there are no live-streaming restrictions from the previous 90 days.
- Choose a Gyre plan that includes playlists and, if needed, the scheduler. Gyre’s September 2026 article lists playlists on the free trial, Start+ and PRO+, and the scheduler on the free trial, Start+ and PRO+—not Start.
- Upload your prerecorded videos to Gyre’s cloud storage, then arrange them in the playlist order you want. Account for plan-specific storage, resolution and conversion limits.
- Authorize the YouTube channel as Gyre prompts you to do so, and configure the stream. If monetization from the outset matters, check the third-party monetization setting in YouTube Studio; this is not a guarantee of monetization approval.
- Start the stream and confirm the YouTube live page is receiving the intended video and audio. Gyre says the playlist restarts when it reaches its final video.
