To make it happen again, reuse or duplicate the setup and schedule a new event; Restream’s documented workflow does not establish an automatic daily or weekly recurrence rule.
Schedule a prerecorded YouTube stream in Restream
- From Restream’s home screen, select New Stream, then Pre-recorded livestream and Video.
- Choose a video already in Uploads or Recordings, or upload a file from your computer or mobile device.
- Enter the event title and description, then choose its date and time. Add a thumbnail if you want; Restream recommends 1280×720.
- If you want an announcement page for viewers before the broadcast, enable Create an event post in advance during setup.
- Select YouTube as a destination and create the event.
Restream says a scheduled prerecorded video event starts at its chosen time without you initiating the broadcast. You can monitor the stream and chat while it plays, but being present is not required for the video to begin. Restream’s Help Center describes prerecorded events as streams that “will begin automatically, even when you’re offline” (Restream Help Center).
How to schedule another occurrence
For each later showing, create a separate scheduled event using the saved draft or by duplicating the previous event. Update the date and time, revise any event details that have changed, confirm YouTube is selected, and schedule the new occurrence. Restream documents reusable drafts and event duplication, not a calendar rule that automatically creates future daily or weekly broadcasts (prerecorded-event instructions; scheduling instructions; draft reuse instructions).
That means a recurring series is a repeatable setup, not necessarily a hands-off repeating schedule. If you need several future dates, plan to schedule each one. YouTube also lets creators reuse settings from a previous scheduled stream, but that preserves setup rather than proving that one event repeats automatically (YouTube: Create a YouTube live stream with an encoder).

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Make each event discoverable before it starts
Restream’s advance event post option is available for YouTube and certain other destinations. YouTube scheduled streams may appear as upcoming in subscribers’ feeds, and viewers can choose Notify me to receive a reminder (YouTube: Manage live stream settings). Set up the event post while creating each occurrence; do not assume an announcement for one date will cover later broadcasts.
If you unschedule an event in Restream, posts already created on supported platforms are not automatically removed. Clean up any unwanted announcements separately.

Important limits: looping, plans, and one-time events
- Repeating an event is not the same as looping a video. Restream says a prerecorded video can optionally loop up to 10 times, but looping requires the Marathon or Media add-on. A loop repeats video within an event; it does not schedule a new YouTube event for another date (Restream prerecorded-event instructions; Restream: What is Upload & Stream?).
- Check current library and quality limits. Restream’s help page lists Premier at $39/month with two hours of library storage and 1080p maximum, Marathon at $79/month with four hours and 1080p, and Media at $239/month with 12 hours and 4K. These are the details listed on the cited page when accessed October 3, 2026; plan terms can change, so check the current page before choosing (Restream prerecorded-event instructions).
- Expect branding on free-user thumbnails. Restream says free users have Restream branding on the event thumbnail (Restream prerecorded-event instructions; scheduling instructions).
- A YouTube event is a one-time broadcast. Restream’s YouTube-specific guide warns that an event can only go live once. Do not start the event early just to test it; use a separate test setup, then schedule a new event for the next showing (Restream: Create a YouTube Live Event with Restream).
Choose the workflow that fits the job
Use Restream’s prerecorded-video workflow when the goal is for an uploaded file to begin at a chosen time. Its Studio and encoder workflows serve different ways of going live, rather than being interchangeable with a scheduled video file (Restream: Choose how to go live with Restream).
Before committing to a setup, decide whether you need an automatically starting recording or a live encoder session, how much video storage and resolution your library requires, whether video looping matters, whether advance event announcements are useful, and whether manually scheduling each occurrence is acceptable.
