To use CameraFi Live for another YouTube broadcast, open the app, select YouTube, and sign in to the YouTube account and channel you want to stream from. A finished stream does not necessarily require a new authorization or a special “Reconnect” button. If the next broadcast will not start, first identify whether the issue is the selected channel, YouTube sign-in, a stream key, channel eligibility, or your internet connection.
Reconnect CameraFi Live for your next YouTube stream
- Open CameraFi Live and choose YouTube. Follow the app’s YouTube sign-in flow. CameraFi’s walkthrough says your CameraFi account and YouTube account can be different accounts. CameraFi’s YouTube live-stream walkthrough
- Confirm the channel. Check that the account and channel shown are the ones that should host the next broadcast. CameraFi’s help index notes that the default login may use the primary channel and links to guidance for switching to a secondary channel. CameraFi Live tutorials and help index
- Start the next broadcast using the app’s normal setup. If YouTube sign-in succeeds and the correct channel is selected, try the usual start flow. The official CameraFi material does not establish a separate post-stream reconnect button or say that you must authorize the app again after every broadcast.
For general account navigation on iOS, CameraFi’s guide documents login and logout controls under “My Profile.” The guide was published December 27, 2024; labels may differ by platform or app release. CameraFi iOS guide for beginners
Find the cause by the symptom
| What you see | What to check next |
|---|---|
| YouTube opens, but the wrong channel appears | Switch to the intended YouTube channel using CameraFi’s account and channel guidance. CameraFi help index |
| YouTube sign-in does not finish in CameraFi Live | Check that you are signing into the intended account, then contact CameraFi app support through its help index. YouTube directs users with third-party streaming-software sign-in problems and no stream key to contact the software provider. YouTube live-stream troubleshooting |
| An encoder reports a server or stream-key error | Check the current stream URL and key in YouTube Live Control Room, then update the encoder if the values differ. This applies to a key-based encoder setup; do not reset a key just because a broadcast ended. |
| The app connects, but YouTube will not let the channel go live | Check channel verification and whether the channel has a live-streaming restriction. YouTube’s current getting-started guidance says channels need verification and must not have had live-streaming restrictions in the previous 90 days. YouTube: Get started with live streaming |
| The stream connects but stalls or looks poor | Check upload bandwidth, preview the stream in Live Control Room, and monitor audio and video. YouTube recommends 20% upload-bandwidth headroom above the total stream bitrate. YouTube streaming tips |
Know whether your setup uses a stream key
CameraFi’s documented app flow is to select YouTube and sign in. A stream key is a separate connection method commonly used with encoder workflows; YouTube describes it as “like your YouTube stream’s password and address.” Keep it private. YouTube: Manage live stream settings
If you are using an encoder and key, open YouTube Live Control Room and review its current stream settings. YouTube notes that returning users may have earlier settings, including the key, loaded. If the key has changed, update it in the encoder. Reset a key only when needed, such as if it may have been exposed; resetting requires owner or manager permission. Or let it run in the cloud
If your goal is a YouTube channel that keeps playing uploaded documentaries or other recordings after you leave, StreamNeo is a separate cloud option—not a CameraFi reconnection fix. Upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and go live. StreamNeo loops uploaded videos from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on.
