There is no evidence-backed single “best” Indian cloud server for a 24/7 lofi YouTube radio stream. For a prepared video or static loop, a modest VPS running FFmpeg may be enough; scenes, browser sources or live re-encoding need more CPU and memory. If you want to avoid server administration, StreamNeo is the first managed option to consider: it loops uploaded video to YouTube from the cloud, at any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps for one flat price per slot, and the first day is free.
Choose by workload, not by the word “streaming”
An Indian VPS is the machine that sends the encoded stream to YouTube. Its location may affect the connection between your server and YouTube’s ingest, but it does not by itself establish how many people will find your channel or what playback quality viewers receive. YouTube distributes playback to viewers.
For a prepared lofi video or a simple visual loop, FFmpeg can repeatedly send an existing media file without a graphical desktop. If you need OBS scenes, browser sources, transitions or live visual controls, the server must also render those elements. Transcoding adds further CPU demand.
| Workload | Starting resource guidance | What to keep in mind |
|---|---|---|
| Static FFmpeg loop | 2 vCPU and 2–4 GB RAM | Space-Node’s July 5, 2026 guide recommendation, not a benchmark or guarantee. A simple loop is not the same workload as rendering scenes or re-encoding. |
| OBS scenes at 720p | 4 vCPU and 8 GB RAM | Space-Node’s July 5, 2026 guide recommendation; actual load depends on sources and effects. |
| OBS at 1080p with browser sources | 6 vCPU and 12 GB RAM | Space-Node’s July 5, 2026 guide recommendation, not a performance guarantee. |
These are vendor-editorial estimates rather than independent comparative tests. Leave headroom and test your own scene and media on the plan before relying on it for a continuous broadcast.

What to look for in an Indian VPS
Inservers advertises a New Delhi streaming VPS entry plan at ₹880/month with 2 vCores, 4 GB RAM, 40 GB NVMe storage and a 1 Gbps unmetered uplink. Its plan page says it is sufficient for a single 1080p60 relay without transcoding; that is the provider’s claim, not an independently verified performance result. See the Inservers plan page.
For a straightforward prepared-file FFmpeg loop, those advertised CPU and memory figures are in the range of the Space-Node guide’s static-loop recommendation. That does not establish sustained performance, uptime or suitability for an OBS workload. Before purchasing, ask the provider:
- Which exact data center will host the VPS, and what support response is included?
- What does “unmetered” mean contractually? Check fair-use language, egress limits and overage charges.
- Is CPU capacity shared, and are there limits on sustained utilization?
- What are the backup, cancellation and operating-system terms?
- Does the storage fit your media files as well as the operating system and logs?
Compare the total cost, including any taxes, licenses and backups, rather than the headline monthly price alone. An India location is relevant to the encoder’s network path; it is not a guarantee of better audience reach.

Set YouTube’s ingest settings to match the stream
YouTube’s live encoder guidance lists H.264 1080p30 at 5 Mbps minimum and 14 Mbps recommended, and H.264 720p30 at 3 Mbps minimum and 8 Mbps recommended. It recommends CBR, a two-second keyframe interval, and RTMP or RTMPS. These are YouTube’s published encoder recommendations, accessed October 3, 2026; they are not guarantees that every source or connection will behave identically.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Resolution and frame rate: choose a target your source and server can sustain. Do not configure a higher output than the actual content or encoding workload needs.
- Bitrate: stay within YouTube’s guidance for the chosen format and leave network headroom. A configured bitrate is continuous egress, so check the VPS transfer terms against it.
- Keyframes and rate control: use a two-second keyframe interval and CBR as recommended by YouTube.
- Protocol and key: send to the YouTube RTMP/RTMPS ingest using the stream key shown in YouTube Studio. Treat the key as a password; do not publish it or put it in a public command, screenshot or repository.
- Preflight: test with representative audio and motion, then monitor YouTube’s stream health before treating the setup as production-ready.
Estimate bandwidth before committing
Continuous streaming transfers data every hour of every day. Space-Node’s June 24, 2026 guide estimates roughly 1 TB/month at 2.5 Mbps. Treat that as an estimate, not a universal billable amount: calculate from your actual bitrate and confirm how the provider measures transfer, including whether it counts egress in both directions and how it applies any fair-use policy. A nominally “unmetered” port speed is not enough to establish unlimited monthly transfer.
Keep a self-managed stream running and recover it
A VPS does not make a stream self-healing by itself. For an FFmpeg loop, configure the process to restart after a crash, and monitor both the server process and YouTube’s stream health. Space-Node’s June 24, 2026 guide gives a systemd restart-policy example; use its 24/7 VPS setup guide alongside the current systemd documentation for your distribution. A restart policy can relaunch a failed process, but it cannot prove that the connection to YouTube or the entire stream stayed uninterrupted.

For an FFmpeg-only workflow, the guide’s VPS and YouTube streaming guide covers sending a loop to YouTube over RTMP. Keep the stream key private, and configure the service so it reads the key from a protected environment or file rather than embedding it in a command that other users can inspect. If you use OBS, ensure the VPS has enough resources for the scenes and sources and that the application can relaunch after a failure. Do not assume an advertised provider uptime percentage, if one is offered, is the same as measured end-to-end YouTube continuity; no independent uptime measurements for the listed candidates are established here.
Protect the channel and the stream key
Use only music, artwork and video you have permission to broadcast. A lofi stream can still trigger copyright claims if its audio, visual loop, samples or artwork are not cleared for this use. YouTube’s copyright and monetization decisions are separate from whether your encoder is technically working. Check rights for the full stream, not just the track you created yourself. Use the copyright safety checklist as a practical preflight aid.
Managed cloud service or VPS?
A self-managed VPS gives you control over the encoder and operating system, but you administer FFmpeg or OBS, process restarts, updates, storage, monitoring and network terms. A managed looping service can reduce that work, but compare its actual storage allowance, concurrent stream limit, supported quality, recovery behavior, cancellation terms and current price.

Quick Recap
Fix common failures
- YouTube reports no incoming video: confirm the ingest server and stream key in YouTube Studio, then check that the encoder is running and can reach YouTube over the selected RTMP/RTMPS connection.
- Stream health warns or playback stutters: inspect the VPS’s sustained CPU load and outbound network use. Verify CBR, keyframe interval and bitrate against YouTube’s recommendations, then test representative content at the intended settings.
- The stream stops after a process error: check FFmpeg or OBS logs, disk space and systemd service status. Confirm that the restart policy is enabled and that the process can read its media and protected stream-key configuration after restarting.
- The server restarts but the live stream does not return: a process restart does not resolve every ingest or key issue. Check YouTube Studio’s stream health and current key, then review service logs and the provider’s network status.
- The VPS transfer bill or policy is unclear: ask the provider to define its monthly transfer allowance, unmetered policy and overages in writing before relying on continuous egress.
