To loop a YouTube playlist, start a video in the playlist and turn on the playlist’s Loop control. On a computer, use the playlist panel; on Android, use the controls beneath the video; on a TV or gaming console, choose Repeat until the screen indicates “Repeat • Playlist.” This repeats playlist playback—it does not make a currently broadcasting livestream restart when it ends.
Loop a playlist on a computer

Open a video that belongs to the playlist.

Expand the playlist panel on the right side of the page.

Click the Loop control in the playlist box. Check that the playlist loop mode is on.
YouTube also has a Loop action in the video player’s context menu, but that repeats the current video, not the whole playlist. For YouTube’s desktop instructions, see Loop videos or playlists on YouTube – Computer.

Loop a playlist on Android

Start playing the playlist.

Find the playlist control box beneath the video.

Tap Loop to repeat the playlist continuously.
To repeat only the current video, tap Loop again. YouTube indicates that mode with a “1” in the middle of the loop icon. See YouTube’s Android playlist-loop instructions.

Select and start playing the playlist.

While the video is playing, press down on your remote or controller to show the controls.

Select Repeat until the mode indicates “Repeat • Playlist.” You can also reach the Repeat control from Settings while watching.
The label and control location can vary by device or app version, so check the mode indicator to confirm it is the playlist—not just the current video—that will repeat. YouTube documents these steps in its computer, TV, and gaming console help.

Does playlist looping restart an active livestream?
No such behavior is documented in YouTube’s playlist-loop instructions. A playlist can contain recordings of past livestreams; looping that playlist repeats those videos as playback. That is different from an event that is currently broadcasting, and playlist repeat should not be relied on to restart a live event after it ends.
YouTube’s live-stream settings cover other functions. DVR lets viewers pause, rewind, and resume during a stream, while auto-start and auto-stop are stream-management settings; the help page does not say these features restart a broadcast indefinitely. Likewise, YouTube’s “rolling playlist” in its HLS setup guidance refers to the sequence of live segments sent by an encoder, not the viewer-facing playlist Loop control.

If you mean a continuous YouTube live channel
If your goal is to keep uploaded documentary footage playing as a YouTube livestream around the clock, the YouTube playback control above is not the same thing: it loops a viewer’s playlist, rather than running an always-on broadcast.
