“I was sexually assaulted by this guy,” Ritchson said in the interview. That wording describes Ritchson’s allegation; it is not a legal finding.
He says he left and ended his modeling career
Ritchson said he left the room immediately, drove to his Los Angeles agency and confronted staff over sending him there. He recalled saying: “F**k you for sending me there. You knew what was going to happen, and you did it anyway.” He said he then told the agency never to call him again and quit modeling.

He also said the images from the hotel-room session were never seen or published.
Did Ritchson identify the photographer?
No. The person is described only as a “very famous photographer.” Ritchson did not name him, and no available public account establishes the photographer’s identity, a police investigation or any court adjudication. Speculation about who the person might be is not supported by Ritchson’s published comments.

What did Ritchson allege about Mario Testino?
Ritchson described a separate incident involving fashion photographer Mario Testino at an Atelier Versace runway-presentation dinner during Paris Fashion Week in 2014. He alleged that Testino repeatedly rubbed his crotch under the table, later called Ritchson’s hotel room and proposed a sexual exchange connected to a possible Vogue opportunity.
This is a separate allegation from the unnamed-photographer account. PetaPixel reported that Testino did not return The Hollywood Reporter’s request for comment. No legal finding concerning Ritchson’s account has been established.

Why did Ritchson criticize the modeling industry?
Ritchson portrayed the experiences he described as part of a broader power imbalance in modeling. “Let’s be honest, it’s like legalized sex trafficking,” he said, adding that the industry was not regulated and that models could be passed to photographers in ways that exposed them to abuse.
He also said the situations were recurring for him: “The number of times and situations where I was put in horrific environments where sexual abuse was the goal and the paycheck that you were desperate for in order to survive was the carrot, I can’t count on two hands. It was quite often.” These are Ritchson’s characterization and personal recollections, not an independent industry-wide statistic.

In the same interview, Ritchson discussed a 2019 suicide attempt, a bipolar diagnosis, ADHD and continuing psychiatric support. Those mental-health disclosures are separate from his allegations about photographers and do not determine whether those allegations are true.
