What the 2025 $4.99 deal included
Coverage published on Monday, December 1, 2025, described a U.S. Cyber Monday promotion for a combined Disney+ and Hulu subscription. It was $4.99 per month for the first 12 months, not $4.99 for each service separately and not a permanent rate. AppleInsider identified the plan as the ad-supported bundle, while Android Central reported the same promotional pricing and characterized it as roughly 61% below the stated regular price.
Those reports used “ends tonight” language because many Cyber Monday promotions were expected to close at midnight on December 1. Disney’s promotional terms subsequently identified January 5, 2026, as the end date for the applicable holiday offer. Those are different references: the first was the editorial Cyber Monday deadline, and the second was the official promotional end date.

Using the published figures, 12 months at $4.99 totals $59.88 before tax. Twelve months at the $12.99 comparison price totals $155.88, producing a nominal first-year difference of $96. These are arithmetic calculations from the reported prices, not a separately verified billing statement.

Who could qualify?
Disney’s terms limited the offer to U.S. residents who were at least 18 and either new subscribers or eligible returning subscribers. “Returning” did not mean every former customer automatically qualified; Disney controlled eligibility under the promotion’s terms.
- An active subscriber might not have seen the offer.
- Customers billed through Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon or another third party could have faced different account or cancellation requirements.
- The cited terms were for the United States, so international readers should not assume availability.
Were there ads?
Yes. The $4.99 price applied to the with-ads Disney+ and Hulu bundle. It did not provide the premium ad-free versions. Anyone selecting a premium bundle would have seen a different price.

Disney’s terms also note that advertising can still appear in select live and linear programming even with some premium arrangements. “Ad-free” therefore should not be read as a guarantee that every type of content carries no advertising.
How Disney+ and Hulu content worked together
The bundle provided subscriptions to both services, but it did not mean that every Hulu title appeared inside Disney+. Disney stated that select Hulu programming could be watched in the Disney+ app, while additional Hulu content remained available through the Hulu app. Device support also depended on Disney’s supported-device requirements.

What happened after 12 months?
The $4.99 rate was not locked in permanently. Disney’s terms said the subscription would auto-renew after the promotional period at the then-current monthly retail price until canceled. Because that future price could change, the terms did not justify promising a specific renewal amount.
When the promotional page was captured, it displayed $12.99 per month for the regular ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu bundle and $19.99 per month for a premium bundle. Those figures describe the prices shown on that historical page; they are not a verified October 2026 price list. The original promotional link now leads to Disney’s general site rather than a live $4.99 checkout.

Would it have been a good deal?
Best fit
- Households expecting to use both Disney+ and Hulu throughout most of the year.
- Viewers who accepted commercial breaks in exchange for the lowest bundle price.
- New or returning customers who met Disney’s U.S. eligibility rules.
Less suitable
- People who wanted premium, ad-free plans.
- Viewers interested in only one series, who might spend less with a single month of service.
- Anyone unlikely to remember the renewal date and review the account before the promotional period ended.
- Existing third-party-billed subscribers who could not transfer billing directly into the promotion.
Other Cyber Monday options reported in 2025
Historical 2025 coverage also listed a Disney+, Hulu and ESPN bundle at $25.99 per month for 12 months, along with premium Disney+ and Hulu options and promotions for services such as HBO Max, Apple TV and Paramount+. Those were holiday offers from 2025, not confirmed deals for 2026. The ESPN bundle made more sense for sports viewers, while its higher price was less compelling for households seeking only movies, series and general entertainment.

For current availability, use Disney’s official plan page at DisneyPlus.com and Hulu’s official site at Hulu.com. Current prices, eligibility rules and promotions can change, so the expired $4.99 figure should not be used as a live signup offer.
The Bottom Line
The 2025 Cyber Monday promotion genuinely offered an ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu bundle for $4.99 per month for 12 months, but it ended no later than the January 5, 2026 date in Disney’s terms. It was a strong first-year discount for eligible U.S. households willing to watch ads and monitor the later auto-renewal, not a price available today.
