There is no inexpensive U.S. service that carries every NFL game. An antenna can cover many local Sunday games, while out-of-market Sunday afternoons require NFL Sunday Ticket and exclusive games may require Prime Video, Peacock, ESPN/ABC, Netflix or another listed outlet. The right combination depends on your team, location, devices and budget.

How NFL games are divided in the United States
The NFL distributes games among broadcast networks, pay-TV providers and streaming services. Check the official NFL viewing guide and the listing for each game because flex scheduling can change a kickoff time or network.

Free legal ways to watch
Use an antenna for local broadcasts
An antenna can receive local ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC stations without a recurring television subscription. It is equipment-free only after purchase, and reception depends on distance from transmitters, terrain, construction and antenna placement.

- Try an indoor antenna when transmitters are nearby and unobstructed.
- Use an attic or outdoor model when the signal is weak or blocked.
- Connect the antenna to the television and run a channel scan.
- Reposition and rescan if one network is missing; a service advertising a network nationally may still lack your local station.
Watch the free NFL Channel
The NFL Channel is an always-on free channel with NFL programming through the NFL app and partner platforms including Pluto TV, Tubi, Roku, Peacock, Plex, Samsung and Xumo. It is not a substitute for live access to the regular-season schedule.
Treat trials as temporary
Live-TV and streaming services sometimes offer trials or introductory promotions to eligible new customers. They change frequently, may exclude returning customers and should not be treated as a season-long plan. Avoid unauthorized streams, suspicious “free” sites, VPN circumvention and account sharing that violates a provider’s terms.
Paid options by service
YouTube TV
YouTube TV is a broad cable replacement when your address receives CBS, FOX, NBC and ABC and the plan includes ESPN. It also pairs naturally with Sunday Ticket. Local affiliates vary by ZIP code, promotional prices expire and Sunday Ticket costs extra. Confirm the lineup using the provider’s address checker and review the NFL support information.
NFL Sunday Ticket
NFL Sunday Ticket is for eligible out-of-market Sunday-afternoon regular-season games. It is sold through YouTube and YouTube TV, not NFL+; see the NFL access explanation.

It does not replace local CBS or FOX, Sunday Night Football, Monday Night Football, Thursday Night Football, Peacock-only, Prime Video, Netflix-exclusive, most playoff games or the Super Bowl. Network-specific services
- Paramount+: Can provide local CBS games in supported markets and plans. It does not provide FOX, NBC, ESPN, Sunday Ticket or every CBS game nationwide. Visit Paramount+ and verify by ZIP code.
- Peacock: Carries Sunday Night Football and selected NBC/Peacock games. It is not a complete NFL package: Peacock NFL.
- Prime Video: The main route for Thursday Night Football and the Black Friday game. It does not include Sunday Ticket, Monday Night Football or local Sunday afternoons: Prime Video.
- ESPN access: Useful for Monday Night Football and ESPN programming, but verify whether a specific 2026 game is on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, ESPN+ or another current ESPN product: ESPN.
- Netflix: The 2026 season includes season-specific NFL games according to current NFL coverage. Check the official schedule and Netflix sports listings because rights can change.

How to build the cheapest setup for your team
- Open the team’s 2026 schedule and record the listed network or streamer for every game.
- Mark games on CBS, FOX, NBC and ABC and test whether an antenna receives those local affiliates.
- Add Prime Video for Thursday or Black Friday games, Peacock for games unavailable through your NBC access, and the applicable ESPN service for Monday Night Football.
- Add NFL+ only if phone/tablet live viewing, preseason, NFL Network, audio or replays meet your needs.
- Buy Sunday Ticket only when the team is out of market and you need its eligible Sunday-afternoon games.
- Recheck the schedule during the season because flex scheduling can move a game to another network or time.
How to watch every regular-season game
No single subscription guarantees every U.S. regular-season game. A comprehensive setup generally combines local CBS and FOX access, a live-TV or ESPN/ABC option, Sunday Ticket for eligible out-of-market Sunday afternoons, Prime Video, Peacock when required, NFL Network access, and any season-specific Netflix or other exclusive. Even then, games are split across services and local-market rules still apply.
Device, location and blackout issues
- NFL+ on a TV: Live local and primetime games are restricted to phones and tablets; supported-device replays are different.
- Missing local affiliate: Enter your address before purchasing any live-TV service. National branding does not guarantee your station.
- Fewer Sunday Ticket games: The game may be local, nationally televised, a playoff game, streaming-exclusive or outside the package territory.
- Reception problems: Rescan, reposition the antenna and consult a signal map; missing channels are usually a reception issue rather than a subscription issue.
- Household use: Review each provider’s current household, simultaneous-stream and location rules rather than assuming account sharing is permitted.
- Outside the U.S.: Rights differ internationally, NFL+ is U.S.-only and the NFL directs international viewers to its international availability guide.
Playoffs and Super Bowl
Sunday Ticket is a regular-season out-of-market package, not a playoff pass. NFL+ and NFL Network also do not guarantee every postseason game. Check the current postseason broadcaster and streaming partner separately before the playoffs; do not infer postseason access from your regular-season subscriptions.
Calculate the real seasonal cost
For an honest comparison, total the antenna or equipment purchase, every monthly fee for the months you watch, seasonal plans, sports add-ons, taxes, required base plans and the post-promotion price. Separate first-season promotional pricing from the normal renewal cost, and note whether an annual plan locks you into a full year. A football-only viewer may spend less with an antenna and targeted add-ons than with a full live-TV bundle; an out-of-market fan may value Sunday Ticket despite its additional seasonal charge.

No. NFL+ and NFL+ Premium are separate from Sunday Ticket, which is sold through YouTube and YouTube TV.

Can I watch an out-of-market team without Sunday Ticket?
You can watch its nationally televised and streaming-exclusive games through their listed outlets, but eligible out-of-market Sunday-afternoon games generally require Sunday Ticket.
