What is Season 4 about?
Season 4 adapts Lee Child’s 13th Jack Reacher novel, Gone Tomorrow. The television premise begins when Reacher encounters a distressed stranger on a Philadelphia subway. That chance meeting draws him into a deadly mystery and a conspiracy involving powerful enemies.

The Philadelphia subway setting is a stated part of the series synopsis. The season’s central mystery comes from the novel, but the screen version can rearrange events, combine characters or change emphasis to fit an eight-episode structure.

What has been confirmed about Season 5?
Season 5 was ordered before Season 4 premiered and will adapt Lee Child’s 20th Reacher novel, Make Me. Prime Video’s official update says production was underway in Toronto, but it does not give a Season 5 premiere date. Any date circulating beyond that confirmation is unverified.
Has Reacher been renewed for Season 6?
Yes. Prime Video renewed the series for Season 6 on September 28, 2026. The announcement came after Season 4’s complete release and alongside the update that Season 5 production was underway. No Season 6 release date or book adaptation has been announced.

How successful was Season 4?
Prime Video and Paramount Television Studios reported 66 million viewers globally in Season 4’s first 28 days. They also reported that the series had surpassed 200 million cumulative worldwide viewers since its 2022 debut, with 58% of the Season 4 audience based internationally. These are studio-reported audience figures, not independently audited ratings.
In announcing the renewals, Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios, said, “Reacher hits hard,” and praised Ritchson’s performance as Jack Reacher.
