Amazon announced its first Amazon Kids+ Original mobile games on April 14, 2022: Super Spy Ryan and Do, Re & Mi. The announcement marked an expansion of Amazon’s children’s entertainment into smartphone games, but it did not make the games subscription-exclusive: launch coverage said the mobile downloads were free and did not require Amazon Kids+. Their platforms and country availability differed, and the launch information does not establish whether either game remains available today.
Two games for two different age groups
Amazon described both titles as Amazon Kids+ Originals, linking them to properties already familiar to the service’s audience. They were aimed at distinct age groups and offered different kinds of play: Super Spy Ryan was an action-oriented game for ages 6–9 and older, while Do, Re & Mi was a music-focused experience for preschoolers ages 3–5. Amazon’s April 2022 announcement set out the launch details.
Did players need an Amazon Kids+ subscription?
No, not to download the mobile games at launch. TechCrunch’s launch report said the mobile titles were free to download and did not require an Amazon Kids+ subscription. Amazon Kids+ subscribers were also to receive access through compatible Fire tablets, with availability depending on the title and rollout stage.

The launch announcement also described both games as ad-free. These are claims about the launch versions, not a guarantee about present-day availability, pricing, or features.

Super Spy Ryan: a spy adventure with constrained multiplayer
In Super Spy Ryan, players enter the Ryan’s World universe to recover stolen birthday gifts from villain Packrat’s lair. The launch version had six playable characters with individual abilities; examples included Gus’s slime cannon and X-ray goggles.
Multiplayer did not mean an open chat room or a conventional friends network. Amazon said the game had no friend lists or chat features and used anonymous, spy-themed usernames. Children could play alone against computer-controlled opponents in Single Player Mode or use Party Mode with other children on the same Wi-Fi network and a shared code. Those design choices reduce some forms of direct contact, but they are not an absolute safety guarantee or a substitute for a parent checking whether the game suits a particular child.

The game was developed with the Kaji Family, Ryan’s World, p.w Games, and Amber Studio. Calling it an Amazon Kids+ Original should not be read as saying Amazon developed every part of it in-house.

Do, Re & Mi: music play for preschoolers
Designed for ages 3–5 and based on the Amazon Kids+ series, Do, Re & Mi offered activities including playing songs on a virtual piano, trying bongos, practicing basic sheet-music reading, and exploring solos and duets. Children could also mix instrumental loops and record performances and vocals. Amazon presented it as a music-education game; the announcement does not establish independently measured learning outcomes.

Launch platforms and regions were not the same for both games
Amazon’s announcement described a staged rollout. It is important not to mistake announced future markets for confirmed availability, or assume both games launched on both mobile operating systems.

These details describe the rollout announced in April 2022, not a live 2026 app-store check. Present availability, operating-system compatibility, regional listings, and continued support should be confirmed in the relevant app store or Amazon’s current product information.
Why Amazon brought its children’s properties to phones
The launch extended Amazon Kids+ content beyond Amazon-oriented devices and experiences such as Fire, Kindle, Glow, and Echo, toward families using smartphones. Amazon said the mobile-games effort was intended to bring its children’s content to families who might not use Amazon hardware. In that sense, the games were both adaptations of existing children’s properties and a way to reach audiences on more platforms.

The two titles also show what “original” meant in this case: Amazon Kids+ branding and connections to its original children’s shows, delivered with outside studios and franchise partners. The announcement supports reading the move as an extension of Amazon’s children’s content into games; by itself, it does not prove a plan to compete directly with major mobile-game publishers.
For parents, the practical appeal at launch was an ad-free claim, age-specific choices, reduced social contact in Super Spy Ryan, and music activities in Do, Re & Mi. The trade-offs were uneven platform and regional availability, reliance on familiar branded characters, and the need to judge each game for a particular child. Families interested only in these mobile games did not need to subscribe to Amazon Kids+ according to launch reporting; the subscription’s relevance was its broader children’s-content catalog and Fire-tablet access.
