Peacock Premium is free through Xfinity only when your account has a qualifying offer. Activate it by signing in with the primary Xfinity ID, opening Xfinity’s subscription or Rewards area, and linking a Peacock account. Here is the exact process, what equipment works, and how to avoid accidental duplicate billing.
Peacock Premium is not automatically free for every Xfinity customer. It is included at no additional charge only when your Xfinity account shows a qualifying offer, Rewards benefit, or package that includes it. To activate it, sign in with the primary Xfinity ID, open Xfinity’s subscription or membership area, choose Peacock Premium, and link or create a Peacock account. Start from the logged-in Xfinity Peacock activation page or your account’s subscription-management area so you can see the offer attached to your account.
Who can get Peacock Premium through Xfinity?
Eligibility varies by account, location, package, and promotion. Check the offer shown in your Xfinity account before assuming that Peacock will be free.
- Qualifying Xfinity Internet plans: Xfinity’s promotional information says customers with Gigabit speeds or higher may receive Peacock Premium for a limited promotional period, described as two to three years on that page. The offer may need to be activated within 90 days of upgrading or shopping. Exact eligibility and duration can vary by market and account.
- Diamond or Platinum Xfinity Rewards members: Eligible Xfinity Internet customers in these tiers may redeem Peacock Premium at no extra charge while they remain in the qualifying tier, keep eligible service, and maintain the account in good standing. Xfinity describes the benefit as having a stated promotional value of $10.99 per month and limits it to one account or household.
- NOW or other Xfinity promotions: If Peacock appears as part of a qualifying NOW or Xfinity offer, activation is normally available through Xfinity’s subscription-management area.
- Select TV packages: Xfinity lists Peacock Premium with packages such as Sports & News TV and World Soccer Ticket. This is not necessarily a free standalone subscription: you are paying for the larger Xfinity package.
- StreamSaver and NOW StreamSaver: These bundles include Peacock Premium along with other streaming services. Peacock may not have a separate charge, but the bundle itself is paid.
- Eligible X1, Flex, or Xumo Stream Box enrollment: The Peacock app on supported Xfinity equipment can show an offer or enrollment option. The result may be free, bundled, limited, or paid depending on the offer displayed.
Important: Comcast says promotional offers can be changed or canceled. Access can end if the qualifying Xfinity service, Rewards status, or membership eligibility ends.

How to activate Peacock Premium on Xfinity online
- Go to Xfinity’s Peacock activation page, or sign in at Xfinity and open the account’s Subscriptions, StreamStore, or subscription-management area.
- Sign in with the primary Xfinity ID and password associated with the billing account. A secondary profile may not display the entitlement.
- Find Peacock Premium and select Activate.
- Enter the email address you want to use for Peacock. It does not have to be identical to your Xfinity login email.
- If you are new to Peacock, create a Peacock password and complete the account setup.
- If you already have a Peacock account, sign in when prompted and choose the option to link or activate that account.
- Select Start Watching Peacock when the activation is complete.
- Install the Peacock app on your preferred device and sign in with the Peacock email address and password used during activation.
The page or redirect can change as Xfinity updates its account interface. If a direct link does not show an offer, use the logged-in subscription area instead; that is where the account-specific entitlement should appear.
How Diamond and Platinum Rewards members redeem Peacock
- Sign in to the Xfinity membership or Rewards portal with the primary Xfinity ID.
- Look for the benefit labeled Get Peacock Premium at no extra cost.
- Select Get This Benefit and complete the redemption steps.
- If Xfinity says it will send an activation email, wait for it. Xfinity says the redemption may take a few hours to process.
- Return to Xfinity’s subscription or Peacock activation area and finish linking or creating the Peacock account.
- Open Peacock and sign in with the linked Peacock credentials.
This benefit is conditional, not permanent ownership of a Peacock subscription. You must remain an eligible Diamond or Platinum member, keep qualifying Xfinity Internet service, and keep the account in good standing.
Activate from an Xfinity X1, Flex, or Xumo Stream Box
On X1 or Flex
- Press the Xfinity button on the remote.
- Open Apps and select Peacock. You can also say “Peacock” into the Xfinity Voice Remote.
- Choose Get Offer if an offer is displayed, or choose Sign In if your Peacock account is already linked.
- Enter the Peacock email address and password, or create the account when prompted.
- Review the offer shown on screen and accept it only if it matches what you intend to receive.
On Xumo Stream Box
Open the Apps row, select Peacock, and follow the sign-in or offer-enrollment prompts.
The Xfinity account email may be prefilled, but you can enter a different email. Do not assume that choosing Sign In automatically activates Premium. If you bypass an offer, you may receive only limited access or be asked to choose a paid plan.

For Peacock on X1, Xfinity says Xfinity Internet is required. Xfinity also excludes certain older X1 models, including RNG150 and Pace XG1v1, from Peacock app support.
How to watch Peacock after activation
Once the Xfinity entitlement is linked to a Peacock account, use the Peacock app on an eligible device and sign in with the Peacock credentials created or linked during activation. Supported platforms listed by Peacock include:
- Xfinity X1 equipment, Xfinity Flex, and Xumo devices that support the app;
- Fire TV devices meeting Peacock’s listed Fire OS requirements;
- Android TV, Apple TV HD and newer supported Apple TV models, Chromecast, and Google TV;
- Supported Roku models;
- Selected Samsung and LG smart TVs;
- PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5;
- Xbox One and newer supported Xbox consoles; and
- certain cable-provider boxes.
Device availability and model requirements can change. Confirm the current requirements in Peacock’s official device support information before buying hardware. A separate streaming device is not required for Xfinity activation.
Optional: watching on another TV
If you have already linked the Peacock account and want to use another television, a Peacock-compatible Roku streaming device or Peacock-compatible Fire TV device can be an optional viewing route, provided the specific model meets Peacock’s requirements. Buying one does not make Peacock Premium free and does not replace the Xfinity activation step.

What “watch for free” means in practice

The most reliable test is your account: if Xfinity does not display an activation or redemption offer under Subscriptions, Rewards, or your qualifying package, do not assume that Premium is included.
Avoid duplicate Peacock billing
Check how your existing Peacock subscription is billed before linking an Xfinity offer. If you already pay Peacock directly or through another billing partner, Xfinity and Peacock warn that the existing Premium or Premium Plus plan may need to expire before the Xfinity entitlement can be activated.
- Cancel the old subscription through the company that bills you—not necessarily through Xfinity.
- Continue using the old plan until the current billing period ends if required.
- Then return to Xfinity and activate the included benefit with the intended Peacock account.
- Check Peacock’s account page for the current plan and payment method.
An old third-party subscription can continue billing unless you cancel it separately. Overlapping periods generally do not receive automatic refunds or credits, so verify the billing provider before accepting a new paid plan.
If Peacock is linked to the wrong email
If Xfinity says Peacock is already active but it is associated with the wrong Peacock email, open the Xfinity Peacock activation or subscription flow and look for Unlink Peacock account. After unlinking, choose the option to use another account and complete activation with the intended email address.

Do not repeatedly activate the offer without checking the account that was linked. The entitlement may already be attached to a different Peacock login.
Troubleshooting activation problems

Which Xfinity plans include Peacock Premium?
