Paramount+ Canada’s January 2025 schedule was headlined by Star Trek: Section 31 on January 24. The rest of the month mixed a complete six-season addition of Longmire, family films, documentary and true-crime programming, library movies, children’s episodes and weekly installments of Dexter: Original Sin and The Agency.
Paramount+ Canada’s January 2025 lineup was led by Star Trek: Section 31, but the month’s most useful additions covered several different viewing habits: a complete six-season binge in Longmire, family films including Henry Danger: The Movie and Paddington 2, documentary and true-crime programming, and weekly episodes of Dexter: Original Sin and The Agency.
The calendar below is specifically for Paramount+ Canada. Paramount+ catalogs and release dates vary by country, so these dates should not be treated as a United States-wide schedule.

The biggest January 2025 releases
Star Trek: Section 31 — January 24
The month’s headline release was Star Trek: Section 31, a Paramount+ original film starring Michelle Yeoh as Emperor Philippa Georgiou. The character originated in Star Trek: Discovery. In the film, Georgiou confronts her past while working with Section 31, the covert division associated with Starfleet’s more secretive and morally complicated operations.

The film also has a Canadian production connection: it was directed by Olatunde Osunsanmi and filmed in Toronto. That makes it a particularly notable addition for Canadian viewers, even though its story remains part of the wider Star Trek universe rather than a Canada-specific production.
Viewers who prefer a permanent copy can own Star Trek: Section 31 on 4K rather than relying only on its streaming availability. The film received a home-entertainment release in DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD and digital formats on April 29, 2025. The physical editions are separate from the January Paramount+ debut, and availability or pricing can change by retailer and country.

Longmire, Seasons 1–6 — January 17
One of the month’s clearest binge opportunities was the arrival of all six seasons of Longmire. This was a complete-series library addition, not a new Paramount+ original. Adding every season at once makes it a stronger choice for viewers looking for a long-running crime or Western drama that can be started and watched continuously.
Henry Danger: The Movie — January 17
Henry Danger: The Movie brought the Nickelodeon superhero franchise into feature-film form. It is best understood as a family-oriented extension of the television series, rather than as a general-audience January blockbuster. Families already familiar with the show have the clearest reason to make it a priority.

Paddington 2 — January 9
Paddington 2 arrived on January 9, just before Paddington in Peru reached Canadian cinemas on January 17. That timing gave Paramount+ Canada subscribers an easy way to revisit Paddington before the newer theatrical adventure. It is also one of the month’s most straightforward family-film recommendations.
FBI True, Season 6 — January 14
Season 6 of FBI True premiered on January 14 and was released as a bingeable season rather than being limited to a single weekly premiere. The series expands the January schedule beyond scripted dramas with real-case and investigative programming, making it one of the more relevant additions for documentary and true-crime viewers.

Weekly episodes and finales
Not everything listed as “new” in January was a new series or a full-season addition. Paramount+ Canada also continued several ongoing programs:
- Dexter: Original Sin: new episodes arrived on January 10, January 24 and January 31. The series serves as a prequel to Dexter.
- The Agency: a new episode arrived on January 10, another on January 17, and the finale was released on January 24. The spy drama provided a counterpoint to the crime and investigative titles elsewhere in the schedule.
- Landman: the finale arrived on January 12.
- Children’s episode blocks: new episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants and The Loud House arrived on January 21.
This distinction matters if you are planning a watchlist. Longmire and Season 6 of FBI True were available as substantial binge additions, while Dexter: Original Sin and The Agency required viewers to follow the weekly rollout.

Canada-specific availability note
This is a historical January 2025 release calendar for Paramount+ Canada. The dates describe when the titles were scheduled to arrive in the Canadian service; they do not guarantee that every title remains available now. Streaming rights can expire or change, and Paramount+ plans, pricing and catalog contents can be updated after publication. The Canadian service should therefore be checked directly before subscribing or planning a current watchlist.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this the Paramount+ release schedule for Canada?
Yes. This calendar covers the Canadian Paramount+ service only. Paramount+ release dates and catalogs differ by territory, so the schedule should not automatically be applied to the United States or other countries.
Which January 2025 Paramount+ Canada additions were available to binge?
The largest binge-oriented addition was Longmire, with all six seasons arriving on January 17. FBI True Season 6 was also released as a bingeable season on January 14.
Were Dexter: Original Sin and The Agency new series in January?
No. Star Trek: Section 31 was a new Paramount+ original movie, while Dexter: Original Sin and The Agency were ongoing series receiving new weekly episodes. The Agency’s January 24 release was its finale.

The Bottom Line
January 2025 was a varied month for Paramount+ Canada: Star Trek: Section 31 was the marquee original, Longmire supplied the biggest complete-series binge, and I Am Ready, Warden and FBI True gave documentary and true-crime viewers clear options. Because this was a Canada-specific schedule, the dates and catalog should not be generalized to other Paramount+ markets.
