FOX has placed Season 15 on its 2026–27 midseason schedule, but it has not announced an exact premiere date. Based on the current schedule and reporting, the best expectation is a return in early 2027—not a confirmed date that can be marked on the calendar yet.
Why isn’t The Masked Singer on tonight?
The simplest explanation is that Season 14 is over. FOX’s official season materials list the season’s two-hour finale as airing Wednesday, April 1, from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. ET/PT. The finale revealed and crowned Ashlee Simpson Ross, performing as Galaxy Girl, as the winner. FOX’s Season 14 photo and episode materials document the finale and its outcome.

That means the August 12 absence is not a one-night preemption, a surprise cancellation or an unexplained removal from the network. FOX is simply holding the show until its next season.
When will Season 15 premiere?
FOX has not announced the exact Season 15 premiere date. The network’s 2026–27 announcement lists The Masked Singer among its renewed unscripted programs and places it in the midseason portion of the schedule rather than the fall lineup. FOX’s schedule announcement confirms the renewal and midseason placement.
FOX’s fall Wednesday lineup begins with The Floor on September 23, 2026, followed by 99 to Beat. The Masked Singer is listed separately for midseason. Current reporting describes an expected return in early 2027, although late 2026 has also been discussed as a possibility. Until FOX publishes a date, early 2027 is a reasonable expectation, not an official premiere announcement.
Do not rely on a specific January, February or March day unless it comes from a new FOX announcement or an updated official listing. Broadcast schedules can change, particularly when a network has not yet assigned a firm premiere date.

No. Season 15 has been renewed. The show is off the schedule temporarily because it is in its seasonal break. A midseason listing means FOX intends to bring the program back during the 2026–27 television season; it does not mean the series has ended permanently.
What could change in Season 15?
The most notable reported change is behind the scenes. Production is expected to move from Fox Entertainment Studios to Eureka Productions, with a likely move from California to New Jersey. FOX has confirmed the renewal and schedule placement, while the production-company and location details should be treated as reported or expected until the network issues a more specific production announcement.
The current FOX information page lists Nick Cannon as host and Jenny McCarthy Wahlberg, Ken Jeong, Robin Thicke and Rita Ora as panelists. It also identifies Rosie Seitchik, Craig Plestis and Nick Cannon as executive producers, with Seitchik serving as showrunner. Those are the show’s current listed credits—not a guarantee that every on-air or production role has been formally confirmed for Season 15. See FOX’s official show information page for the current series listings.
What is on FOX instead tonight?
Because The Masked Singer is not in the fall Wednesday lineup, viewers should check their local FOX listing for the program scheduled in its place. Network schedules can differ by date, market and later updates, so a local on-screen guide or FOX affiliate listing is the safest source for tonight’s exact replacement.

Can you watch Season 14 while waiting?
Possibly, but streaming catalogs change by country and over time. Secondary listings have identified services such as Hulu and Tubi in connection with the series, but episode availability should be checked directly in the viewer’s region before making plans. FOX’s schedule and show pages confirm the broadcast information; they do not guarantee that every past episode remains available on a particular streaming service.
The answer also applies specifically to the U.S. FOX edition. International versions, including the U.K. series, follow separate production and broadcast schedules, so news about another country’s Masked Singer should not be used to infer the U.S. return date.
