Weapons DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD release
The physical release date was October 14, 2025. Warner Bros. announced editions on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD, sold through online and physical retailers.
For viewers who want the highest listed physical format, the Weapons 4K UHD Blu-ray is the format to compare first. A compatible 4K UHD Blu-ray player and 4K display are needed to take advantage of the format’s capabilities; a standard Blu-ray player cannot play a 4K UHD disc. Packaging, included discs, retailer stock, and regional editions can differ, so inspect the product listing carefully.
The standard Weapons Blu-ray is the middle-ground option for viewers who want a physical copy but do not need 4K UHD. It generally requires a regular Blu-ray player or a compatible game console. The Weapons DVD is the broadest compatibility choice for DVD players, though DVD has lower picture quality than Blu-ray and 4K UHD.

The home-video release was reported to include three featurettes:
- A director-focused making-of featurette
- A featurette about the cast
- A featurette exploring the design and texture of the film’s horror
These are reported release extras, but not every retail SKU or regional package necessarily contains identical bonus content. Confirm the “special features” list for the exact edition you are considering.
Which way should you watch Weapons?
| If you want… | Best route to check | What to watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Access through a service you already subscribe to | Max/HBO Max or Prime Video subscription listing | Confirm that the title is included in your specific plan, rather than marked rent or buy. |
| The quickest one-off viewing option | Digital rental | Compare the rental price and the deadline to start and finish viewing. |
| Digital access without returning a disc | Digital purchase through Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, or Fandango at Home | Prices and purchase policies vary by storefront. |
| The best listed physical picture format | 4K UHD Blu-ray | You need compatible 4K hardware, and the exact package should be checked for extras. |
| A physical copy with standard Blu-ray quality | Blu-ray | Check player compatibility and included bonus features. |
| Maximum player compatibility | DVD | Expect lower image quality than Blu-ray and 4K UHD. |
What to check before you pay
- Confirm your country. The dates and providers above describe the United States. International rights may use different services and release dates.
- Identify the transaction type. On Prime Video and similar stores, distinguish “included,” “rent,” and “buy.”
- Check the total price. Digital prices and physical-media prices can change, and taxes may be added at checkout.
- Check the format. Do not order a 4K UHD disc if your player only supports DVD or standard Blu-ray.
- Check extras and packaging. Retailer listings may describe different bundles, disc counts, or bonus-feature packages.
- Recheck streaming status immediately before watching. Subscription availability is the most changeable part of the release path.
The short answer
Weapons is not waiting for a home release. In the U.S., it opened theatrically on August 8, 2025; became available to rent or buy digitally on September 9; arrived on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on October 14; and began streaming on HBO Max on October 24. The latest research check lists Max/HBO Max and Amazon Prime Video for subscription viewing, with digital rental and purchase through Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango at Home. Because streaming catalogs and prices change, verify the provider listing and the exact format before ordering.
