The Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics took place February 4–22, 2026. The Opening Ceremony was held February 6, and the program featured 116 medal events across 16 sport disciplines. For viewers in the United States, Peacock was the complete streaming destination during the Games, while NBC, USA Network, and CNBC provided television coverage. The times below are the original scheduled starts in U.S. Eastern Time (ET), not a promise that every archived event remains available today.

This is a post-Games schedule guide, last verified August 11, 2026. Because streaming catalogs and replay rights can change, use the NBC Olympics FAQ and the relevant NBC Olympics event pages to check what is still available.

How Americans watched the 2026 Winter Olympics

Peacock: the complete streaming option

During the Games, Peacock carried every sport and all 116 medal events live and on demand. It also offered full-event replays, NBC programming, Gold Zone, Multiview, and an Olympics event guide. If your goal was to follow a particular event rather than rely on a curated television broadcast, Peacock was the most comprehensive U.S. option.

For a post-Games update, check Peacock for available replays rather than assuming that every 2026 event is still in the catalog. The historical promise that every event was live and on demand applied during the Games; it does not establish a permanent replay window.

NBC, USA Network, and CNBC

Viewers with an antenna, cable subscription, satellite package, or other television service could watch NBC’s broadcast coverage, with additional Olympic programming on USA Network and CNBC. This was a curated television schedule—not a guarantee that every medal event aired live on the NBC broadcast network.

NBC also offered authenticated streams through NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, the NBC app, and the NBC Sports app. A participating cable, satellite, or telecommunications TV subscription was required. Signing in unlocked the live coverage included with that subscription and did not add a separate digital charge, according to NBC’s FAQ.

Ceremony times

  • Opening Ceremony: February 6 at 2 p.m. ET live; NBC primetime coverage at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
  • Closing Ceremony: February 22 at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Understanding the schedule

All times in the checklist are scheduled U.S. Eastern Time starts. They are especially early for West Coast viewers: subtract three hours for Pacific Time. European viewers should use a local-time converter, because the competition took place in Italy and some sessions began overnight or early morning in the United States.

A listed time may refer to the start of a final, a medal session, a run, a heat, or—where an event has multiple parts—the first competition window. It is not necessarily the time when medals were awarded. Multi-run events are shown with both important windows where the supplied schedule identified them. Competition times could change, so the official Milano Cortina competition schedule is the best reference for the event structure, while NBC’s listings were generally easier for U.S. viewers to navigate.

How to find replays now

NBC said during the Games that full sporting-event replays would appear soon after live coverage on Peacock, NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, and the NBC Sports app. It described shorter availability windows for primetime, late-night, and figure-skating replays, and said Gold Zone replays would not be available. Those were historical availability policies, not a guarantee of what remains online in August 2026.

  1. Start with the NBC Olympics FAQ and the NBC Olympics schedule or event page.
  2. On Peacock, search for the sport or event by its specific name—for example, “women’s 50km mass start classic” rather than only “cross-country skiing.”
  3. If you previously watched through a TV provider, sign in to NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, or the NBC Sports app with that participating provider.
  4. Check the date and event label carefully. A highlights package, primetime show, or Gold Zone replay is not the same as a full-event replay.

Devices and connection requirements

NBC listed Peacock, NBC, and NBC Sports apps for supported smart televisions and connected-TV platforms including Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Samsung TVs, Xbox, and others. For browser viewing, NBC recommended a current version of Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox. Its FAQ listed broadband of at least 5 Mbps as a requirement.

That bandwidth figure is a platform requirement, not a guarantee of uninterrupted playback. If an archived stream buffers, first update the browser or app, confirm that the correct account is signed in, close other high-bandwidth activity, restart the device and router, and try another supported device or browser. If the same problem affects other computer tasks, investigate the Windows system or driver issue separately; NBC does not identify third-party PC-repair utilities as a fix for Olympic streaming.

Viewing outside the United States

NBC’s online Olympic rights applied to the United States and U.S. territories. Peacock and NBC’s digital options therefore should not be treated as worldwide services. The International Olympic Committee advised viewers in other territories to check their local broadcaster or rights-holder. Availability, authentication, language, and replay policy varied by country.

Why some schedule pages differ

The official Milano Cortina schedule is the stronger source for the number and structure of medal events. NBC’s daily schedule was more convenient for U.S. viewers because it presented times in ET and identified medal sessions. Peacock’s event guide was useful for streaming labels but could contain presentation or transcription inconsistencies. When pages conflicted, the safest approach was to use the official schedule for the event structure, label times as scheduled ET starts, and verify a specific archived listing through NBC before relying on it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Were the 2026 Winter Olympics an upcoming event?

No. The Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games ran from February 4 through February 22, 2026. The Opening Ceremony was February 6. This schedule is therefore a historical guide, and current replay availability may be different.

What was the best way to stream every 2026 Olympic event in the United States?

Peacock was the complete U.S. streaming option during the Games, carrying all 116 medal events live and on demand. Its current archived catalog should be checked rather than assumed.

Could I watch the Olympics without Peacock?

Yes, but the alternatives were less comprehensive. NBC, USA Network, and CNBC carried curated television coverage. Participating cable, satellite, and telecommunications subscribers could also authenticate on NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, the NBC app, or the NBC Sports app.

Are the times in this schedule local to Italy?

No. The times listed here are scheduled U.S. Eastern Time starts. They may represent a final, medal session, heat, run, or first part of a multi-stage event.

Can viewers outside the United States use NBC’s Olympic streams?

NBC’s online Olympic rights were limited to the United States and U.S. territories. Viewers elsewhere should check the IOC’s local-broadcaster guidance and their territory’s rights-holder.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: During Milano Cortina 2026, Peacock was the only single U.S. destination designed to carry every sport and medal event. NBC, USA Network, CNBC, and authenticated NBC digital platforms provided important alternatives, but their coverage was curated or dependent on a participating TV subscription. Since the Games ended February 22, 2026, confirm replay availability before planning a viewing session.
