Director, writer and production
Timo Tjahjanto directs The Beekeeper 2, taking over from David Ayer, who directed the 2024 original. Tjahjanto has described the sequel’s villain element as unusually colorful and unpredictable and has compared its intended sensibility with anime or manga. Amazon MGM Studios is listed as the distributor for the wide release, and the project was announced as part of a worldwide theatrical-distribution arrangement covering multiple territories. In German-speaking Europe, LEONINE Studios is handling theatrical distribution under its agreement with the film’s rights holders.
