U.S. readers can currently start a Fubo trial advertised as free for one day, but the offer is not universal. Fubo says trial availability and duration can vary by plan, location, and promotion, so the checkout screen for your account is the final authority—not an old “7-day free trial” claim.
To begin, use Fubo’s official signup page or the special link in a Fubo promotion you received. You will need to choose an eligible plan, provide a payment method, and cancel before the exact trial deadline if you do not want the subscription to renew.
How to start the Fubo free trial
- Open the correct signup link. Go to Fubo’s official signup page. If Fubo sent you a promotional email or message, use the link in that message so the promotion can be applied. Fubo’s account-creation instructions are available in its help center.
- Create your account. Enter your email address and create a password. Fubo may request location details, including a ZIP code, before showing the plans available in your area.
- Choose a plan that explicitly includes a trial. Do not assume that every plan qualifies. Fubo says some plans do not include a free trial. Look for the trial language beside the specific plan you are selecting.
- Enter a payment method. Fubo requires a valid payment method to activate the trial. Its listed options include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and Cash App, although the available choices can depend on the billing flow and your location.
- Read the final checkout notice. Before submitting the order, check the exact date and time the trial ends and the amount that will be charged afterward. If the offer is suitable, select Start free trial.
- Review add-ons before completing signup. Fubo says eligible add-ons may be included in a trial, but some plans and add-ons do not qualify. Adding one can end the trial or create an additional charge after the trial, so remove anything you do not need.

What to check before clicking “Start free trial”
Free-trial checkout checklist
- Trial length: The current U.S. landing page advertises “Free for a day,” but Fubo says trial lengths can vary.
- End date and time: Record the precise deadline displayed at checkout. A calendar reminder set several hours early is safer than waiting until the last minute.
- Renewal price: Confirm the amount and billing frequency that apply when the trial ends.
- Plan and add-ons: Make sure you understand which channels and features are included and whether optional add-ons change the trial terms.
- Billing provider: Note whether you are subscribing directly through Fubo or through a platform such as Roku. Cancellation rules differ.

Who is eligible for a Fubo free trial?

- you are a new eligible customer;
- your location and selected plan show a free trial; and
- the final checkout page confirms the trial before you submit payment.
Will Fubo charge your card during the trial?
Fubo requires a payment method because the subscription is designed to convert to a paid plan automatically when the trial ends. Unless you cancel or otherwise change the subscription before the stated deadline, Fubo’s terms and help information say it will charge the first paid billing cycle after the trial.
Some customers may also see a temporary $1 authorization from the payment processor. Fubo describes this as a payment-method validation step, not the price of the subscription. The authorization should be automatically refunded within 7–10 business days, although the precise timing can depend on the bank or payment provider. If it remains after that period, ask your payment provider about the pending authorization and contact Fubo if necessary.
How to cancel the Fubo free trial without being charged
First, find the deadline. Fubo says the trial end date can be viewed during checkout and later in the account area under Settings and My Account. Cancel before that date and time if you do not want a paid subscription.

If you subscribed directly through Fubo
- Sign in to your Fubo account.
- Open your account settings or My Account.
- Find the subscription-management or cancellation option.
- Follow the prompts all the way through the confirmation screen.
- Save the confirmation email or take a screenshot showing that cancellation was completed.
For subscriptions started directly through Fubo’s website or Fubo’s sales team, Fubo’s cancellation policy says cancellation during the trial ends the subscription immediately and removes access. Do not assume that you can cancel early and continue watching until the original deadline.
If you subscribed through Roku
Fubo says a trial billed through Roku ends at the end of the trial when canceled. Use Roku’s subscription-management process or the Roku account through which the subscription was purchased, rather than assuming the Fubo website controls the billing.

If you need hardware for an otherwise compatible television, an Amazon Fire TV Stick is one optional route. Fubo lists Fire TV among its supported platforms, but buying a streaming device is not required to obtain the trial. Check the current Fubo requirements and the device’s compatibility with your TV before purchasing.
Fubo Free is different from the free trial
Fubo Free is a separate, ad-supported experience—not a replacement for the paid-service free trial. Fubo says it is available to select former subscribers whose paid subscription or free trial has expired, on select devices, and includes more than 170 free channels.
Fubo Free does not mean that a new customer gets the complete paid channel lineup without subscribing. If your goal is to test Fubo’s paid service, sports coverage, channels, or features, check for the trial offer during the normal signup process.

There is no free-trial option
The plan may not qualify, the promotion may have expired, your location may show a different offer, or Fubo may recognize the account as previously used. Check the plan details and the final checkout page. Do not create duplicate accounts to try to bypass eligibility or billing controls.
The advertised offer and checkout offer do not match
Use the checkout offer as the practical authority for your transaction. If a promotional email is involved, restart signup through its specific link. Save a screenshot and contact Fubo before submitting payment if the discrepancy is material.
The app will not install on the television
Check the exact TV or streaming-device model and operating-system version against Fubo’s supported-device page. A television brand appearing on the list does not mean every model from that brand is supported.
I canceled but can still see the app
An app remaining installed does not indicate an active subscription or a successful cancellation. Look for the billing provider’s cancellation confirmation and verify the subscription status in the relevant Fubo, Roku, or other third-party account.

It may be the temporary authorization Fubo describes for payment validation. Check whether it is pending and allow 7–10 business days for the refund. Escalate to the bank or Fubo if it becomes a completed subscription charge or does not clear within the stated period.
